What was the ice cream similar to Gino Ginelli which was sort of raised circles but in different colours?

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 24/10/2023 18:23

still non fizzy Fanta that McDs used to do

White chocolate maltesers.

Especially since they had the audacity to bring out dark chocolate ones earlier this year. Who the heck wants those?!?!

There was an ice lolly from my childhood I think about ridiculously frequently. It was bright blue, cylindrical, with hundreds and thousands on the top third (like a Fab) and super sour. I swear it was called a Wonka lolly but I’ve never been able to find a trace of it online! It haunts my dreams….

Weren’t they called Snowballs? If it was them we all had a craze for them in our office and would run to the corner shop to restock.

original opal fruits, star burst aren’t the same with no lemon ones

GonnaGetGoingReturns · 24/10/2023 18:29

Sara Lee cinnamon bar (like the danish bar but cinnamon)

Golden Cups and Spring Onion flavoured crisps. ☹️

Golden Wonder do spring onion crisps. I get them from Home Bargains. Absolutely yummy.

MadeOfAllWork · 24/10/2023 18:30

I might be the only person who remembers them but about 15/20 years ago you could buy sweets called Fizzing Wizzbees (Harry Potter tie in).
On our local market there used to be a stall selling food that was close to its sell by date or the like. They had boxes of these sweets for a £1 a box. I bought 4 boxes and got through the lot across a year. They were outlandishly fizzy.

A couple more I've remembered.
Morrison's used to do an English muffin loaf. Much missed in this house.
And Sainsbury's Chicken Pathia curry ready meal. So tasty and almost as good as any restaurant version.

DahliaMacNamara · 24/10/2023 19:02

It should be illegal to relaunch a product with the same name as a beloved food or drink when you've fucked with the formula so drastically that it's effectively a different thing. So much disappointment and sadness for what might never come again <weeps>

GasPanic · 24/10/2023 19:04

Texan

Janetstreetwater · 24/10/2023 19:10

They brought back Texan bars about 20 years ago. They weren’t nearly as good.

Can I add Fizzie Lizzies? They were made by the same people who made Highland Toffee.

McSteamyorMcdreamy · 24/10/2023 19:13
  1. Smiths Crispy Tubes crisps
  2. Oven crunches (like little hash browns)
  3. Secret chocolate bars (mousse on the inside)
  4. Original 5p 10p packets of Tangy Toms. I know they still make them but they are NOT the same 😔
McSteamyorMcdreamy · 24/10/2023 19:16

@Mailys

Do you mean pork breakfast sausage? If so they still do it. Purchased 7 packets of it the other day and it's still £1 a pack! Absolutely love the stuff!!

I do.

I am a stuck record on these threads, but I make no apology for that.
Phileas Fogg's Mignon Morceaux.

OMG I've just remembered these now! My mum and dad bought them and I thought they were mega posh 🤣

TeeNoG · 24/10/2023 19:26

Super Mousse - I think that what it was called. You used to be able to buy a stack of pots from the freezer section and they were my favourite pudding 😊

Bonjovispjs · 24/10/2023 20:16

Apologies if this has already been said, haven't read the whole thread, but Burger King's mushroom double Swiss. It was so good, the best thing they did and I still miss it, don't go there anymore.

Munchies7 · 24/10/2023 20:18

Spira bars

and those 2 finger caramel kit kat type ones.. what are they called..?

Munchies7 · 24/10/2023 20:19

Drifters!

Hotspoon · 24/10/2023 20:28

I can’t stop thinking about toast toppers🥹

BrimfulOfMash · 24/10/2023 20:43

Toast Toppers were fab.

TomatoSandwiches · 24/10/2023 20:52

I could never get over the look of vomit in a can that toast toppers reminded me off to try them tbh.
Can't believe there is a petition for them!
