What is your Saturday evening Consisting of?

im currently child free, DS15 is out with DP for the weekend , dd11 is at her friends for a sleepover and I’m sat here in the dark with the dog, in silence reading fan fiction….
it’s actually quite relaxing…. My dsis has just called and said she’ll be home soon so I’m enjoying it while it lasts.
what’s everyone else up to ?

Watching telly over the laptop. Have infected sinuses 😩so going to bed soon with tea and a book.

15 year old ds has a friend for a sleepover so I'm hiding in the bedroom with wine to give them space!

Glass of red, crap on the TV, dog at my feet. She's a borrowed dog, I had been wondering whether to get back in the dating cesspit after losing DH but no, this borrowed one has shown me that what I actually need is a canine companion again.

My 17yo has friends over for the night. They are drinking and ordering Chinese and watching 90s films and have asked me to join them. I will do for a bit then head upstairs to give them some space to continue discussions I really don't need to hear ...

Watching Elementary on Amazon prime while snuggled up with the dog on the sofa. Wondering how early is too early to go to bed, as I’m really tired and have to be up earlyish tomorrow for work.

DH is away for work, DD has a friend for a sleepover and I have given them downstairs as her room is tidy for once and her bed has fresh sheets, so I am hiding upstairs. They made pizza and are now watching Coraline which they very graciously said I could join them for.

I am going to have a bath and decide whether to do some work (extra freelance job) or bin it off and watch a film on my laptop on my bed, then be massively behind and have to work all of tomorrow eve and Monday and Tuesday eve. I am veering towards the latter, but should do the former. Might do one hour of work and then stay up too late watching a film.

Sorry about the covid blue yonder. I live in fear of it tbh, had 2 chest infections since 2020 but no feeling ill apart from wheezy cough cough.

Ds18 is frantically cleaning his pigsty bedroom as new girlfriend is coming over tomorrow. Ds10 and Dd8 are watching YouTube/ playing fortnite I'm keeping an eye on the rugby and when the small ones go to bed- in an hour or so will probably re-watch a bit more Mr Mercedes.
