I know everyone feels like that but today he took the biscuit
He's registered blind (but does have some vision like lots of people who are registered blind), he can't sit unaided, he can't walk and he doesn't talk, he doesn't hold toys and he struggles to hold his head up a lot of the time but today he was shown a new communication aid. We recorded lines of one of his favourite nursery rhymes on to it and every time he press the switch one line was recited back to him. He figured out really quickly how to use the switch and was so, so, SO pleased with himself. All the therapists in the room clapped him when he was done.
He absolutely loves music and songs and I am hoping that his love of music will be the key that unlocks his communication and being able to make choices for himself.
