Who is the best actor?

Right.

I absolutely ADORE Tom Hanks. Utterly adore him. I think he's an absolutely incredible actor and I've seen most of his films. Ironically not Forrest Gump. But he's just fantastic and seems like a really nice person too. He shits glitter as far as I'm concerned.

But also Leonardo DiCaprio. Look up What's Eating Gilbert Grape. I don't understand how he never won an Oscar for that shit. Same with his withdrawal scene in Basketball Diaries. Fuck me.

Many others I'm sure. But WHO stands out for you?

Tom Hanks is overrated. I think for truly exceptional actors you need to look at character actors.

Leo is the most underrated actor imo. He won an Oscar for the Revenant and it was shit. He should have won Oscars way before then!!
I love, love, love Alan Rickman too. Love him in Robin Hood Prince of thieves lol

I've just watched the Banshees of Inishirin and a young actor called Barry Keoghan was out of this world. It's great when someone 'new' comes through and I really look forward to seeing what he does next.

Love how we all have different tastes - this is such a subjective one, lol. Not a fan of Ton Hanks tbh. And can’t stand Leonardo - so over rated. Gary Oldman is an amazing actor who really becomes the character. See also Oscar Isaac.

Sorry but Tom Hanks is NOT overrated and this is the hill I will die on. The man is absolutely outstanding. A suburban house husband, a tortured prison guard, a child in a mans body, a kidnapped captain, a store owner, gangster, police officer, a cartoon cowboy, a war hero, an astronaut, what the fuck do you want?!

Biggest revelation of recent years was James McAvoy in Cyrano de Bergerac. He was mesmerising. I had no idea.

Tom Hanks is over rated as an actor but not as a human being. Leonardo Di Caprio is the other way round.
