Or a bad one?

Cavendish (or Cav as it was more commonly known) was a sticky floored nightclub in Edinburgh when I was young and that's all I think of when I hear it to be honest.

Love Christmas to the PP who said that. I'd love to be Mrs Christmas 😆

I love Cavendish. I think any surname that's got a London square named after it is a safe bet.

Did you consider going back to your maiden name or was that not great either?

And with the flagship John Lewis store on it. What could be better than that?

Welp, I stuffed up, forgot his adopted name was Richard DeVere, and Cavendish was only the company name. He was Czech - his mother was Mrs. Polouvicka, who Audrey always called Mrs Poo, so presumably Richard was Polouvicka too.

Ah yes of course! I only watched programme for the first time recently-ish so I should have remembered he was DeVere. I loved his mum Grin

@Jibo It’s not a bad maiden name but I’m nc with my parents and my diction isn’t as clear as I’d like so I don’t pronounce it as well as my mother.

This way every part of my life gets a new name, the unhappy years have my birth name, the happy years have his name and whatever this crushing utter hell is has the Cavendish name.

I hope Cavendish comes to be associated with happy years for you, OP.
