What one word do you find almost impossible to pronounce/say?

Mine's narcissistic. I pride myself on being reasonably eloquent, but that word has me beat.

Thankfully not a word I find myself needing to utter very often. Just as well, as it takes me about 32 attempts before I stop sounding like Arkwright in Open All Hours.

‘Ethereal’ - I always say e-thuh-REAL.

The non word 'readable' should be a word (it's not) but can I hell say legible.

Chiswick

Get it wrong every single time.

I can’t think of any off the top of my head but I admit that some words I just pronounce with an American accent because they’re easier that way. Grin

Syringe...even thinking about it now I'm not 100% sure where the emphasis should go. And apparently I say 'coleslaw' strangely.

Abominable

I learnt once to say “a bomb in a ball” with short a sounds instead of trying to say the word as one and it stuck!

@NetballHoop Dais is a tricky word and only because I work in heritage I know it's pronounced day-iss, it's one of those words that looks incomplete to me!

Schedule.

I always take a split second to remember how to pronounce it (and I still don't actually know): is it SHED-ule or SKED-ule🤔

Having an American DH doesn't help matters as he pronounces it the second way and then I'm confused as to which is the British way!

The British is SHED-ule, hope that helps. 😊
