Good Morning All! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just brewing my pot of tea, and about to have some breakfast. The window's open & the birds are chirping away. No-one else is up so it's nice and peaceful down here for now.

I've got a fairly chill day planned - lots of little jobs to do but all at a very slow pace.

I'm going to finish my Each, Peach, Pear, Plum peg dolls, send a couple of Vinted parcels, and nip to Lidl with dd1. Plus I want to do some more beading on my Eras Tour garter project.

Dd1 has Lit homework to be done, and dd2 has some Maths she needs help with so I'll have a look at that with her.

I've got a gammon in the slow cooker for tea. Not sure what we're having with it yet. Maybe as a roast, with cheese sauce 😋

Later it'll be early showers all round & earlyish nights. Dd2 got up in the night to watch someone's livestream of Adele's Vegas residency so will definitely need it!

The child woke at 7 today. Little annoying, I could have done with a bit longer but hey ho. Anyway DH got up with her at half 7 and brought me a cup of tea to bed. She's played with her paw patrol toys and now doing some school work on the iPad. Whilst sitting on my feet.

I'm contemplating my second cup of tea and maybe some eggs on toast. When I can move.

It's rainy and miserable today but we've nothing we need to go but if it clears up this afternoon we'll go out on a bike ride.

Nice cup of tea and toast in bed so far. Will have a flick through a magazine and then get up and walk the dogs.
Also a bit of shopping for lunch stuff to take to work.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. You have been busy! I have had two coffees and tea and toast. In a while I'll make a slow cooker steak casserole with loads of vegetables. It'll do me a few days. I'll also make an apple crumble later. Definitely in autumn mode here. I have an ironing to do and a quick hoover round. Most of the housework was done yesterday. Later I'll visit mum who is in hospital and has also got covid. It's rife hereabouts. Enjoy your day

I'm being induced tomorrow for baby no2. So just getting prepared.

I am at home with my Dc 3 and 8. We are having a lazy day today, after a hectic week and hectic Saturday and are all still in our pjamas... Dd8 is currently on her kindle on the cuddle chair with a blanket and Ds3 is playing nicely with his trains on the kitchen table i am watching the news/scrolling mumsnet on the settee and having a cup of earl grey, its lovely. They are snacking on some oreos which i am allowing on our lazy day. I am doing laundry later, and I am going to do a roast and Dd 8 will help as she always wants to help me cook. Kids want to watch encanto again later so that will probs happen.
Then later baths, stories and bed!
My day probs sounds horrible dull to some but our lazy days like this are rare so I'm enjoying it :)

Quiet day here planned. DH is taking the kids to his parents for the day, whilst I do some last minute prep for a job interview this week. I also need to fit in a run too. It’s definitely feeling autumnal here which suits me - I much prefer running when it gets colder.

Dinner tonight will be beef bourguignon with mash and veggies. I’ve also got a half bottle of wine that needs finishing! Then early nights all round before the week starts again.

Phos you are welcome. 😊 I add a bit of tomato paste for richness but otherwise just leave it to do its thing

Good morning @lucysmam and all. Your day sounds relaxing.
Dh and ds2 have already left for rugby and ds1 is still in bed, so it's peaceful here too.
I've tidied the kitchen and prepped all the veg for dinner so that's out of the way, and I'm planning a long bath, a face mask, do my nails...this is a very unusual occurrence as usually I'd be on the sidelines at rugby too but opted out today.
When ds1 surfaces we're going to go out for a drive - he's practising for his test. There may be a stop off for a coffee involved. It's a lovely little bit of time stolen with him, since we don't see a lot of him these days.
Then it will be Sunday roast, a walk with Dh if the rain holds off, more rugby on the tv as England are playing tonight, and prep for the week ahead.

Was at the local pool early for a Sunday morning swim class.

Been bak a little while and have shoved our swim stuff in the wash fed the dogs and put away the garden canopy and outdoor furniture cushions cause it's hammering it down and thundering here.

Just emptied the dishwasher and Mumsneting while wait for eldest ds to get ready so I can drop him to work then bak to iron uniforms and hoover /tidy and take dh out for a coffee somewhere as we are dc free for a few hours.

Afternoon plan is business admin and finally get all the household and business paperwork into the filing cabinet that's collecting dust

Tea is melting cheese pots with roasties and cake for afters.

Still in bed with DH after flu jabs yesterday. DD is with her dad until this afternoon. Have washing to do, menagerie to feed, clean, generally look after...
Need to do some baking, thinking GF cheese scones, cheese straws, chocolate oaties and some form of muffins for DDs lunchbox. Think it's tempura chicken, egg fried rice and salad for tea, what I really fancy is shepherds pie!

We are getting our flu jags today.

Am really interested in the slow cooker recipes @lucysmam for the gammon and @LadyMacbethssweetArabianhand for the steak casserole, they sound lovely.

This morning I've got glammed up because we're seeing family and I've not long had a baby, so I wanted to look more human than I have the last 9 months 😂

I'm considering what to make for dinner, but think it'll be pasta, either a Pesto one or baked feta and tomato, I'd love to make a roast but I haven't got the effort in me to do so today.

sad no recipe I'm afraid. Firstly I chop carrots, parsnips, swede and mushrooms into similar size chunks and throw them in the slow cooker. Then I coat bits of steak in flour and brown them and throw them in. Lastly I add beef stock with added tomato paste (a tablespoonful)and Worcestershire sauce and put it on high for an hour then change to low and leave it for hours. I'll stir occasionally. I usually stick a couple of bayleaves in but they aren't necessary. For the last hour, I sometimes make dumplings and add them and put the setting to high. I hope that helps.

Getting ready to go to the US for work, taxi pick up in 30 minutes so getting hand luggage and last bits and bobs ready. It'll be a super long day, land around 11pm UK time and then at least 2-3hrs until I'm in bed, immigration and cab to hotel will take forever.

Made pancakes for breakfast and have had a relaxed morning.

Woke up to wake dd2 up for work, made some breakfast for her, put some washing on, unloaded the dishwasher then came back to bed!
Just thinking about getting up and showered now, think we are going to get out while it’s still dry and get some stuff for dinner, I need a few shops for various things so dh and ds can do the food shopping while I go and get my stuff.
Then home, we have a big log delivery coming this afternoon along with the weekly food shop.
Boring day but sundays have long been my favourite days for their boringness!

This end I'm just about to make DD breakfast then bath for her and I.

Need to run to Aldi and do a food shop and DH will probably take DD to the park.
Housework done so will come home and probably do a shepherds pie for lunch, or maybe chilli tacos.
Got 12 cupcakes to make and deliver this PM.
Fold and put away the washing and maybe bake us some treats for the week.
Got to fill in DDs preschool forms and pay the deposit.

Currently sat with a cuppa browsing on zoopla as we're just starting to look for our first house. (Patiently waits for the rates to go down)

DH and I spent yesterday worn out after a wedding, bit of a hangover and feet in agony after dancing. We did nothing but watch tv, read and watch stupid stuff online. Today we will strip the bed, he has already put a load of washing on. Will go out for a walk round local woodland, have dinner with DS and his GF. I need to make a grocery shopping list. Tomorrow is a difficult day because of a very close bereavement so it was always going to be a quiet day today.

Made it to the morning thread today! Was really afternoon yesterday 😀
Had a busy day yesterday but that does mean the beef and guiness hot pot is sitting ready and just needs veg and yorkies.
I'm taking my elderly DF a plate, I would have invited him over but DD 13 has covid and he's not had his booster yet.
DD16 is off to work for a few hours soon. DH may start painting the office room that was a kids bedroom so it needs a refresh.
I need to do some boring jobs and make an apple crumble, the apples are falling off the tree and mouldering on the grass looking at me.
Not sure what's for tea but something light like a sandwich platter and crisps or soup.
I want to try and fit a walk in so may do that after lunch.

Food shop will be here soon so will get that away and prep a slow cooker lasagne for this evening.

Older DC have homework/reading to do this morning.little one is requesting playdough.

After lunch I want to get us all in the garden it needs a bit of a tidy ready for autumn, clearing the veg patch things that have finished, need to dry out seeds from peas and sunflowers ready for next year.

Dinner is the aforementioned slow cooker lasagne broccoli and garlic bread.

Sunday evening would usually be my self care bath gin kindle ritual but I'm debating just a quick shower then getting in bed nice and early with my book instead I'll decide later

Morning Lucys mam and all! I've not long got up. Had a crumpet and enjoying my first cuppa. Dh works nights but hes off tonight so he will be up in a couple of hours. Our kitty is keeping me company whilst "killing" her toys! Me and Dh will do sone shopping later then ds, 18 and i are going to mums and will meet ny sister there too. After a bit dh and ds will go off to ds's guitar lesson. Might do a roast for tea. I had my third and biggest tattoo done yesterday and i need to clingfilm it in a min so i can go and get a shower. Lazy evening planned catching up on TV!

Off for my weights class shortly (at a place in Shoreditch which I love despite being the oldest person there), so DH will mooch about with DD this morning, then when I come back I'm taking her swimming. Possibly a quick trip to the park on the way home, weather permitting. Then making aubergine and chickpea curry for dinner and supervising piano practice. DH will probably have a sneaky session organising his Dungeons and Dragons memorabilia collection while I'm out with DD!

Grumpy start to the day here. Got halfway down the road taking ds to his football when we got a text from the manager saying the opposing team had cancelled due to lack of players 30 mins before the game. Back home now. ds is watching the Simpsons. DH is in the kitchen dicing up veg for the roast. I've just stripped the beds and chucked the linen in the wash.
