I don't understand why RB would have made that video yesterday. Its weird. The time to have done it would have been back when he got the letters, or after the Dispatches, not 24h before. If indeed the Dispatches is about him..

I might be wrong, but wasn't it Toby Young who claimed a press release at 3pm ? I don't think it came directly from the Times.

Doubt it. If so it feels unlikely it's about Brand who really doesn't have a lot of power I'd have thought..... unless the evidence is actually really not very strong at all.

If he's been trying to shut it down legally since the letters arrived, but now knows it's happening, that might explain the timing.

Getting ahead of the curve and sharing his view could be a calculated move to reduce the impact of it. If people think they know, why watch?

Can’t imagine many people are interested in this story, he’s not exactly in the mainstream now. There’s no employer to sack him.

There must be more to this story or others involved. There must be an institutional cover up- that has to be the big story. RB is not a big story.
