Apparently the biggest news story of the year is going to break over the weekend

It’s all overTwitter, or X as it’s now called. One of the Sunday papers is working on a massive story and all staff weekend leave has been cancelled. Channel 4 is showing an episode of ‘Dispatches’ tomorrow night at 9pm but haven’t said what it’s about and lots of people are putting two and two together and saying it’s in conjunction with the following days papers.

Obviously he's been dead a few years now but Sean Hughes apparently used to trawl Myspace for young female fans, message them and then try and meet up with them which is pretty grim.

I can't think of a single comedian that this would even surprise me about, though I'd be disappointed if it was someone I liked. Many are just borderline sociopaths. Many just plain misogynists. I really hate JC and FB, nothing they did would remotely shock me. They come across as very twisted, cold, horrible men.

Slight diversion and totally of topic but whilst I agree that improvements to the railway infrastructure are needed across all of the North of England, HS2 has been a project that has proved eye wateringly expensive, (how that came about is shocking in itself and deserves a Dispatches documentary), is destructive to wildlife and with little or no benefit beyond the original destination, Manchester.

A 90-minute Dispatches special investigation into #AustinHealeyWuzRobbed! would be the programme I was born to watch. Definitely the Watergate of our times. I hope Krishnan has been sneaking around the filing cabinets at Elstree and secreting recording devices into the communal wigs.

I think of Dispatches as serious journalism, they're not going to do a 90 minute special for sleaze about a comedian or other minor celebrity. Not nearly universal enough.

mins is a really long time for a current affairs doc so I wonder if it’s their own cover up and they’re trying to get ahead of it.
