Mine is 20 years! Is that really bad? I'm wondering if it's actually really unhygienic but I wash towels regularly.

I've got a couple with the logo of a swimming club in Hong Kong on it. Dh lived in Hong Kong in 1989.

My oldest towel was relegated to being a 'cat towel' a few years ago. I'm not sure exactly how old it is but I took it with me to university in 1979!

All of those of you with very old towels, do you also have much newer ones or do you just keep using the old ones?

I have a bit of a household linen buying habit. Blush
Whenever I hear of someone leaving home or going to university I offer to kit them out.
That frees up space for me to start buying again.

I have some that my mum bought when we went on holiday to NZ in 1976. They are a bit thin now. The one I got as a teenager in 1984, however, still looks lovely. It came in a plastic pack with shower gel and shampoo, and made me feel really grown up.

The oldest one is at least 30 years old. It cost 10p. It is the one we have to take to the beach if we are just likely to need our feet cleaning.
