Mumsnetters judging your life.

What would they think?
I currently live in a large 3 bedroom terraced with my husband and two children (boy & girl).
We have been married for approximately 20 years.
Both children have regular hobbies such as scouting and riding.
We have one car for the whole family.
We holiday abroad rarely but do usually manage a UK break once a year.
We both work full-time and the kids go to school in another county as it is much better than the local school.
How would I be judged by mumsnet standards?

I’m on my second glass of wine for the evening. I open the front door when someone knocks on it. I have and use a toilet brush. I’m expecting someone to do a deep dig on me and have social services round on Monday afternoon as one of those makes you the worst person ever! But all three? They’re probably close to ringing the police over concerns for my child’s safety.

MN has some really weird views on things. So I really wouldn’t worry about how people on here judge your life. Are you happy with your lot? Great, crack on. If you’re not, try to change what’s making you unhappy.

This thread was more to see how I judge and the perspectives I get from other people's posts if that makes any sense.
I am well into the first bottle of wine but I am the only driver in the family so I am sure I will be judged for that!

They must think you live in poverty, terraced house, only 1 car and no private school.

No I didn't mean that's what your life is like (I mean I hope to God you don't have a penis beaker 🤣)! I meant these are the sort of fine details missing from your post that would enable people to actually tell you what they think.

It seems like I would be judged as middle of the road leaning towards boring....I'm happy with that!

MNetters would be horrified that we have no chicken left after Sunday lunch to keep us going for four days.Yes, 5 of us can consume a whole chicken in one meal. All of my children were baptised into the Catholic faith and went to Catholic schools and we have been to mass once since lockdown. We all believe in God though, so that makes us disillusioned fantasists. As a household we earn a reasonable amount but save very little of it. We don't have hoards of cash or run away funds. And we don't have a joint bank account. Family money isn't family money. DHs money is his and my money is mine, and it's worked well for us for 25 years, because neither of us are dickheads. We have Gym membership but aren't super toned or skinny. We don't charge our adult children rent, for many reasons. One of my children doesn't have any diagnosed special needs and is academically average. I've never read about another DS like this on MN. We have shelves of books so probably look very boomt to visitors, but hardly ever read. None of us are big readers. Feel free to judge

OP, you sound very, very average to me! I'm not sure there's anything to judge. Do you have tattoo's? I love to judge tattoos.

You haven't mentioned (that I can see ) how often you shower or wash bedding. Anything less than 3 x a day is grim and vile!

I wash bedding once a week and change towels regularly but not after each use....judge away!

Actually, I think you'd be somebody to envy. You sound like you have a solid marriage. You sound like you have a nice home. You have healthy children. You are both working.

I never quite know what judging means. I think people should use their local school. Is disagreeing with a life choice the same as judging?

Do you have a loo brush?

Do you insist on shoes off in the house?

Do you wear skinny jeans?

Did you drink ANY alcohol at all during pregnancy?

That should get the buggers going.
