Important query for the ramen community

Does anyone add fresh toppings to instant ramen as suggested by the picture on the front of the packet? Eg pickles vegetables, spring onion, an egg, etc?

Or is that just mad and unnecessary because instant ramen is perfect and complete just as it is?

Slight sidetrack. I've never had kimchi before but added it to my grocery delivery at a whim and its coming tonight.

What do I do with it?!

@CupOfCoffeePlease Treat it like pickle or chutney.

Mind it can be very hot, salty and sour depending on how long it's been fermented for.

I like having it with my egg fried rice or noodles best.

Sometimes I have it with cheese on toast.

Yes sometimes just noodles is enough, but I usually like to add chilli, spinach, maybe raw mushroom, red onion thinly sliced, any leftover meat hanging around, but especially a fried egg with crispy edges. Soy sauce or chilli oil etc. Bit of fresh coriander and lime. Gone clear! 🍝

@xsquared I've ordered a ton of those noodles you recommended-just hoping they're going to arrive before lunchtime!

Yes we do. In my mind it changes it from a dirty dinner (like a grown up super noodles) into a decent meal. Just a few bits of veg or rocket or similar, maybe some ham. I don't like boiled eggs but they feel like a logical upgrade too.

@xsquared wow those noodles are so good! But I have to use half the seasoning packet- and I love spicy food! Ds adds a spoonful of peanut butter to his. Thank you for the recommendation!
