My worst thing is tarragon. It ruins everything on the plate for me.

Beetroot
Salmon
Baked beans
Salted caramel 🤢

MajesticWhine · 08/09/2023 07:41

Coriander and capers. I also avoid truffle and raisins.

Southlondoner88 · 08/09/2023 07:41

uncooked tomatoes
aubergine
raisins

Southlondoner88 · 08/09/2023 07:42

Oh and pumpkin spiced anything

twilightcafe · 08/09/2023 07:56

Worcester Sauce

Ballgateblazer · 08/09/2023 07:59

Cheese.

Katrinawaves · 08/09/2023 08:05

Ginger in savoury dishes and there is a place in hell reserved for people who make me a poached egg in water with added vinegar!

BlackAmericanoNoSugar · 08/09/2023 08:08

Cinnamon, I don't mind a cinnamon stick in a curry where there are also a lot of other spices but I can't bear it in a dessert/cake.

Peanut butter. A lot of American recipes add this to biscuits and desserts and it's horrendous.

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 08/09/2023 08:12

Cream, slathered all over
otherwise perfectly nice puddings.

Buildingthefuture · 08/09/2023 08:13

Truffle! Why is it in EVERYTHING now? I do not want mash/chips/macaroni cheese/eggs/meat/fish/soup dishes that taste like rotting grass cuttings 🤮🤮🤮

Sartre · 08/09/2023 08:20

Fresh coriander. Don’t mind the ground version in curries but the fresh stuff is horrid.

Auntieobem · 08/09/2023 08:20

Beetroot. Doesn't tend to turn up too often, but it's the worst worst thing in the world. Not only does it taste rank but it contaminates everything else with its purpleness.

MamaNewtNewt · 08/09/2023 08:26

Peppers and coriander.

Apparently disliking fresh coriander is a genetic thing.

RocketIceLollie · 08/09/2023 08:28

Mushrooms and tomato on a full English breakfast

Stbextherapist · 08/09/2023 08:32

Chorizo

minuette1 · 08/09/2023 08:34

Dill, parsley and celery.

stbrandonsboat · 08/09/2023 08:34

Chickpeas
Couscous
Mayonnaise

Theroom · 08/09/2023 08:34

Vinegar

FeatherBlack · 08/09/2023 08:36

Sweetcorn...

Basil either fresh or as pesto! It ruins Italian dishes in particular!

DH agrees with pp on cream and mayonnaise. He really struggles to find shop bought sandwiches he can eat, without mayonnaise. The ones without mayonnaise tend to be cheese and ham, which he’s not really supposed to eat much, with coronary artery disease!

This too... 😷

ErrolTheDragon · 08/09/2023 08:40

Raw onions. They mightn't be so bad if it was one foul taste and a bad memory but the bastards linger for hours.

MrsDanversGlidesAgain · 08/09/2023 08:41

Sweetcorn
Green peppers

Catsmere · 08/09/2023 08:41

Another vote for mayonnaise. Ruins egg sandwiches with its horrible sweet glop. Strangely the only mayonnaise I've tasted that was not bad was in the US. The mayo in Australian shops is dire.

BasicPumpkinSpice · 08/09/2023 08:42

Corriander
Butternut squash = most boring vegetarian dish ever
