I’ve always worn left and now I’m favouring right. Apparently one is the right and the other is wrong.

so, I’m asking here on a Friday night…

This thread is so surprising!

I'm a leftie and wear a watch on my left arm. Always assumed most (righties) wear their on their right...

thaegumathteth · 25/08/2023 22:56

Right handed and used to wear watch on right but haven't had one in years

Mydpisgrumpierthanyours · 25/08/2023 23:06

Right handed watch on left wrist.
I always thought you wore it on your non dominant wrist, but I suppose it doesn't matter just do what your comfortable with.

mrsmacmc · 25/08/2023 23:06

Right handed and wear watch on left wrist

BMrs · 25/08/2023 23:07

Always with maybe in my right but apparently the correct way is to wear in the opposite to your domain at hand. So you can multitask by looking at the time while holding your phone to your ear or writing etc

sarahc336 · 25/08/2023 23:08

Left

Justleaveitblankthen · 25/08/2023 23:11

Right handed, watch always on the left. Shoulder bags always on my right.

Mindovermatter247 · 25/08/2023 23:12

Right.. I’m not even sure why tbh, either is not a problem, I think because I have bands on my left so my right was free..

Justleaveitblankthen · 25/08/2023 23:13

Isn't it so that you can fasten it easier with your dominant hand?
(how about an edit button on the App please 🙏)

Left until I broke my wrist and had to have surgery on it, the scar is hypersensitive and anything touching it makes me feel really weird so I had to swap my watch to the right wrist. It took me a year to get used to it and I still sometimes look at the wrong one by mistake !

MrsSkylerWhite · 25/08/2023 23:14

Right, I’m right handed.

IVFlife · 25/08/2023 23:14

Left. Am right handed

MartyMorag · 25/08/2023 23:15

Left and I'm left handed

Tessisme · 25/08/2023 23:50

I am right handed and I started off wearing my watch on my right arm. But my mum told me this was wrong and used the example of perhaps wanting to check the time while I was noting something down, saying it was more efficient to glance at my left arm, than stop writing!! Weirdly, I listened to her and promptly changed. She probably never got over the shock of me doing something she suggested😆

ShutTheDoorBabe · 26/08/2023 00:00

Right handed with watch on my left wrist. Sibling also right handed but wears a watch on the right wrist.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 26/08/2023 00:12

Right. I'm left handed. I couldn't imagine wearing it on my left

dutysuite · 26/08/2023 00:13

I write with my right hand but lead with my left for everything else. I can’t wear a watch on my left wrist, I hate the feeling of it so it’s always been on my right.

snowballsinhell · 26/08/2023 00:19

I wear it on my right as I have my screwed on Cartier on my left - it was like £4k so non dominant to minimise damage

However, that means my watch has to be on my right, which never feels right and I assume people judge me for it 😂

Dabadumm · 26/08/2023 00:28

My left (right handed) but it's worn for most of the working day on my ankle as I use a treadmill desk and want it to count my steps 😂

GreenMonstersParty · 26/08/2023 00:33

I'm right handed and wear it on my right wrist. Apparently this is wrong according to my parents!!

Nat6999 · 26/08/2023 00:48

Left & I'm right handed.

ALongHardWinter · 26/08/2023 00:52

On my left as I'm right handed. I always thought you wore it on the opposite to your dominant hand.

FussyPud · 26/08/2023 00:54

Left wrist for watch, am right handed. I never liked the feel of anything on my wrist when writing, so the habit was set from being small (with a lovely red and blue ‘teaching watch’ I got for Christmas when I was about 6!).

Watch now is an Apple Watch which is great as the straps are easily changed when I’m bored. Much easier that the ‘grown up’ sekonda watch with the mock-croc leather strap that my parents bought me when I went to senior school.

Growlybear83 · 26/08/2023 01:27

I've never worn a watch since I was in primary school.

Catsmere · 26/08/2023 05:23

Left and my hands are cross-dominant (I'd hate to try doing it up with my left hand!)
