A TV show you really wanted to like...

But just couldn't.
I really wanted to love World On Fire. It seemed really up my street but Lois is so annoying that it's put me right off. There seems to be no depth to any of the characters and Harry seems like an AI person. I could just about hang on for season 2 but the awful green screen in the desert has put me right off.

Downton Abbey and Bridgerton - i like a period drama but couldn't stand either! Also the second series of Gentleman Jack - just got bored with it.

Breaking Bad and Peaky Blinders. Everyone raved about them but I couldn't get into them at all.
I loved Game of Thrones and have rewatched it all few times, but a lot of people didn't like it.

Breaking Bad. In theory, it's right up my street and I've loved a lot of the writer's other work, but I got a few minutes into the first episode of season 2 and I just gave up. I just couldn't make myself care about any of it.

Not a series, but Harry Potter films.
I adore JKR but fantasy wizardy stuff just isn't for me.

Came to say Good Omens 2 as well - all the ingredients I love but didn't make it past the first episode. They all seem to be having such an great time having a big in-joke that they don't care whether it is good TV.

Some things I have gone back to for a second time and liked, like Schitts Creek but sometimes life is too short to make the effort!.

I loved Breaking Bad then gave Better Call Saul a few eps but wasn't hooked - is that worth another try?

Definitely give Better Call Saul another chance, it's so good! Took my husband a few tries to fet in to it, but once we started watching it together we were hooked. Actually rewatching it at the moment.

Yellowstone for me - although it was DH who persuaded me to watch it - almost fell asleep it was soooo boring...and DH agreed.

Jodie Whittaker’s Doctor Who. I actually think she did what she could as an actor but Chibnall’s dog’s breakfast of a script and overcrowded cast gave no chance for any real character development.

I normally like Catherine Tate, but that? Oh dear. Not good. I stuck it out for 20 minutes in the vain hope that it would become even slightly enjoyable, but no.

Game of Thrones: badly wanted to love this and have something that DH and I could watch together in one of those runs for ever big story arcs like Lost (although the least said about the end of that the better) or 24. I watched one episode and that was more than enough. Horrid.

Tried to get into Ted Lasso, just couldn't.

Games of thrones!! Currently watching it and I'm just bored but committed with it 😂also not a series but Harry Potter!! I've tried so much but even my kids can't sit thur it either, I just don't understand the fasinaton with it 🤔
