Most petty reason you have de-friended someone !

Met an old mate yesterday and we were talking about the power of badly behaved kids to ruin “mum” type friendships. Luckily both long past that now.

She said she and her h had been binned by some mates because her H and the other bloke really drunk once , and they think they’d never been forgiven

might be the truth they’ll never know 😂

Another person who got offended when I made a joke saying the England rugby team should do a morris dance as a response to the Haka when they play against NZ.

I'm not sure I have unfriended anyone for a trivial reason. Although maybe that is just my interpretation on it.

I unfriended someone who sent me abusive messages because I accepted an invite to a dinner party she had not been invited to.

I unfriended someone after she told me I was a tory shill for sending my child to a private school.

I limited friendship with someone who stayed at my house and told me that i have mental health issues and this was clear as to how messy my house is. (It's not messy, it is cluttered and that is because DH is a hoarder).

I cannot think of any other examples. There may be some that are really really trivial though which i have not recognised or recalled!

I unfriended someone who posted horrible stuff about the Mccanns.

I am usually live and let live but that was despicable IMO

I also defriended someone who told me to meet her at the pub for 7 pm and when I got there at 7 pm had already arrived and ordered and was eating and said to the other people there ; 'Told you she is always late'.

I am NEVER late. I am a Capricorn for a start Grin and I went back over the message to check I wa right. It was part of a control thing for her.

I was almost ready to let it slide although it pissed me off but then she leaned over and stole my son's chips while he was eating. He was 4, hardly ate anything at all (was going through an ASD diagnosis and has sensory issues around food) and that was it for me. Diss me, fine. Steal chips off the plate of my son you are dead to me.

I SO do not regret the loss of that friendship.

She kept saying negative things about asylum seekers and raving about veterans needs, support the British Army etc. Her racist ideas unfortunately supported by her army friends.

That's a good reason to unfriend someone though isn't it? I had a similar thing with this woman who was constantly expressing racist shite on her page.

A friend unfriended me because I typed her name in a message and it auto corrected to "Afghan". I said... Oops! Should have said your name but I was immediately ditched.

Can I say I’m on the verge of dumping someone because they believe there are wild cats in the city that will attack them, that wolves are soon going to be a real threat, and walking in the city is risky in case there are escaped wild animals from the zoo? They also read the Daily Fail. I don’t know why I keep persisting with this person really.

Potentially outing but sod it. Had a friend where we had loosely a few other friends I’m common. She lived the other side of London from 3 of us. One Saturday night she invited 3 of us over and said to stay the night as it was too far to travel/drive home so we all agreed. Turned out her live in boyfriend invited himself along which the friends weren’t happy with but went along with it. Ended with us all going to a nearby bar for drinks. Next day we got up got dressed and went home. She then demanded I come to her birthday picnic with these friends but we were all double booked so couldn’t go. She was really upset by this. Then she blurted out something about me flirting with her boyfriend when we’d been round there. I was so shocked I had to check with the other 2 friends who said “no Gonna you definitely weren’t flirting with him, he was trying to with you but you were batting him off” - which is what I did, it was all very jokey anyway. I binned her off after that and so did the other friends. There’s no way I could have that bat shittery in my life! About a year later she got pregnant with him and had children now settled down, I was told by a mutual friend that at the time we had our fall out her boyfriend had been a bit of a commitment phobe.

I unfriended someone because she got the arse with me because I turned down an invitation to 2 days away in Malta of all places, in March, which involved a flight at dawn from an airport miles away. So I would have had to get up at 2/3am for literally 2 nights away. I said thanks but no thanks. She got upset at that. And that seems to be the end of it.

A now very much ex-friend went on a bizarre rant about how I’d “snubbed” him
by turning down two free trips to Spain (his aunt had a holiday home there).

What he’d completely ignored was that the first trip was a few weeks before I was due to take redundancy and I had no annual leave left. The “free” trip would have cost me £600 in lost wages, at a time when I was about to lose my income. The second trip was when I was in the interview process for five different jobs - I couldn’t possibly have left the country. But no - I’d snubbed him 🙄

Yes I have recently ghosted my best friend of 25 years because of this nastiness against refugees or asylum seekers , she literally doesn’t realise it’s unacceptable to talk like that ! But she also likes to make other peoples lives shit as well , God knows why I didn’t end it sooner x

I unfriended someone after she massively got the arse with me when we were discussing whether interest only or repayment mortgages were a good idea for our respective rental portfolios 😂. I was always very friendly towards her but she started to blank me at events. Mutual friends noticed how rude she was being and I thought sod this, unfriend.

I was unfriended by someone who I thought I was close to when I called her out for joking about Liz Truss killing off the queen.

A woman who desperately tried to be friends with me bought 3 cats and proudly told me she'd named them after my children. I was pregnant with DD4 at the time and she said "Let me know when you decide on a name for her and I'll get the next cat!". Proper creepy.
