Discontinued food you miss

Or just can't get for whatever reason.

Currently really fancying the ww chicken & wedges, it was in a nice tomato sauce but I also really miss the slimming world tomato and bean soup that came in a pouch.

I realise these are both diet foods and tomato based, maybe I should just go and make a tomato salad 😂

Yes! Although the Cheddar cheese ones were a good second best. Our local Morrisons sold them until a couple of years ago before sadly and inexplicably they vanished..... 😩

M&S used to do a vacuum packed potato, egg and bacon hash type thing. You emptied it into a frying pan and cooked it for about 10 minutes until it was lovely and brown and crispy. Sainsbury’s also did it for a time. It was lush.

Also pizza mini grills. Basically small cheese and tomato pizzas with a cheese tomato and ham version. About five in a packet. Great for a quick snack.

And French Bread Pizza (Findus?)

You could and probably still can get caramac in multipacks from Asda and cheaper shops like B &M probably do them

Cream cheese Niknaks. Toffee and mallow eggs.

I came to say cream cheese niknaks.

Years and years ago, we found 5 boxes of very slightly out of date cream cheese niknaks on the local market, you know the boxes you'd get in corner shops with the hole punched out of one end? We ate nothing but cream cheese niknaks for weeks.

Try wotsit crunchies. Not the same but a close third ☹️

Tesco used to do a lovely raspberry torte. I look every time on the off chance it’s reappeared but not seen it in 15 years. Had a thin sponge bottom, raspberry mousse and a thin layer of raspberry sauce. Could eat it in one sitting…

M and S used to do a little pot of carrot sticks and the top had a separate pot of thousand island sauce. Only thousand island sauce that’s come close is at the Pizza Hut salad bar. Last seen the carrots around 20 years ago… sad times.

Boots used to do carrots, peppers, cucumber with a lovely bbq type sauce. I think it was bbq anyway. It was nice whatever it was.

M and s used to do a divine redcurrant cheesecake in the 80's/90's it was delicious. The mixed berry ones just aren't the same.

Sara Lee chocolate gateau was bloody amazing.
We also used to get this microwave chocolate pudding that you made yourself and then made the sauce to go with it.
M&S chicken tikka masala... my Nan and grandad used to get them for me... never tasted one as nice since.
