Fun discussion coming up at my reading group, but my first thought (invisibility) I realised could be a bit disturbing! Might see or hear something you'd rather not! Any ideas?

The ability to magic all the shopping from the kitchen floor to all the cupboards and fridge.

I think telekinesis would be a good one!

The one that TV Lucifer has, to make someone have to tell the truth when asked some questions.

Persuasion.

Then I'd persuade everybody to just be kind and love each other. Including the likes of those demigods in power. All nations, All cultures, All religious beliefs.
And persuade those that have that the world has all it needs and there's no need to be greedy.
Persuade those in power to stop destroying ecosystems.

I would be able to control time. I would go backwards, forwards and stop it occasionally (for a nap).

Oh mine is that I wish I could speak and understand every single language in the world.

Teleporting or flying!

The ability to not give a fuck what people think.

To be able to freeze and unfreeze everybody else’s superhero powers

Flying

The ability to converse with animals. I would absolutely love to be able to have a chat with my dog.

Healing

To be a white male instead of brown female.

The ability to speak every language, including speaking with animals!

I'd love to understand everything & be able to pass on messages to people who need it.

I also want to get through to my cat that biting my big toe at 4am makes me less inclined to feed him sooner...

Teleportation/Apparition

Yeah, teleportation (let's make instant, and with no carbon cost!) I could travel the world every weekend.

I'd like to be able to be a fly on the wall / listen to far flung conversations. With that power you would have the ability to stitch up horrible people/bullshitting politicians etc. You'd need to be able to leak enough raw material that it would lead to no doubt without identifying yourself. I would fear every nefarious outfit would want a piece of you if they figured you could do so.

Teleporting, so I could go on holiday without having to get on a plane.

Always wanted to be able to teleport! Skiing for the day, night out in New York, safari at the weekend etc. No carbon footprint, no travel sickness.

But better if everyone else couldn't, otherwise everywhere would get too crowded!

The more kind option would be the power of persuasion as mentioned above. Imagine what a quick chat with putin etc could achieve. Let alone the more selfish outcomes closer to home...

I asked this question of my (very intense) 4 yr old a few years ago. He took hours to think about it and replied 'rewind powers'. He wants to be able to rewind to his happiest moments at any time and relive them. It blew me away and since then I have often longed for rewind powers.

Also the ability to remove anger / hate. Corny as it sounds, we all know anger hate and violence begets more anger hate and violence. If you could telepathically link to a person and remove those emotions their behaviour would change and the world would become a better place bit by bit as each person now both feels and radiates love and peace.

To be able to communicate with animals. I would love to know what they think and feel.

The ability to speak and understand every language on Earth like a native.

Time travel for sure!
