Soo I’ve just had a call from our letting agent went to voicemail as I was on a call and my fucking husband hasn’t paid the rent for the last 2 months….

The bastard is at work and his phone has been switched off

I don’t have the money to pay it all - I did wonder why he had some extra money

We have separate accounts he pays rent etc I pay other bills it all works out fair

I am so bloody angry I daren’t phone the letting agent back and I’m off to check his emails 😡😡😡

as there is a way out long term. Pay the Rent weekly also.

It's quite normal to use.read receipts if you are using Microsoft Office Outlook, which is used by most businesses

But I have the ability and often do, to not send the read receipt…… so it’s a useless system!

If they are using gmail you can add an app that doesn't require the person that receives the email to acknowledge it. It just tells you that its been opened.

Otherwise, I just came here to say that my exDH did this (unbeknownst to me) just prior to the telephone call I received from him asking me to pick the children up from nursery instead of him doing so. He made this call just after he disembarked the plane that had touched down in Spain where he was to reside for the foreseeable. Dick.

My ex did something similar (bills were paid though) and that phone call moment is burned into my brain. I'm sure it leaves you with PTSD .

Easy. He has form for doing this sort of thing. She has gone ballistic on here, later she has calmed down because he did pay the rent and there was a mix up and now it is all ok.

Not really, most of us ignore them. Usually used by demanding twerps who think their stuff is more important than anyone else. I don't send them.

An email marked important does get my attention though.

I can't speak for all Agents but when I forgot to change the standing order the Agents rang the next day, not two months later!
