My dh hasn’t paid the rent ffs

Soo I’ve just had a call from our letting agent went to voicemail as I was on a call and my fucking husband hasn’t paid the rent for the last 2 months….

The bastard is at work and his phone has been switched off

I don’t have the money to pay it all - I did wonder why he had some extra money

We have separate accounts he pays rent etc I pay other bills it all works out fair

I am so bloody angry I daren’t phone the letting agent back and I’m off to check his emails 😡😡😡

I keep seeing it and checking see if she has updated I really hope its an administrator error and he has been paying it all along

fault eviction notice and you will, unless rent arrears paid NOW

She probably had a go at him, he made up some excuse after a bollocking and he took a payday loan to pay the rent. Probably had a funny 5 mins 2 months ago whilst stressing over his bank account and mulling over all the things he can't afford.
My husband did this when we're about 20 but he soon came to his senses and never made the same mistake again.

the agent works for the landlord not the renter.
So the agent did make contact on numerous occasions and wouldn’t know they were going to junk file but would see they were unread.

How would they see they were unread, unless they’d put read receipts, which is not the norm. It’s email not WhatsApp.

I’ve made similar errors as your husband. For example, for two years I double paid the community charge and no one told me. And for 3 months had inadvertently not paid my rent, was horrified when I found out, but still had the money in my bank, as I hadn’t renewed the rent standing order at the end of the financial year - I genuinely didn’t know I had to!

It’s very easy to miss a month if it’s not all on DD or SO.

Hope it all turns out well, am sure it will. 🌷🌷🌷

How do you know? Are you the landlord?
mid they are good tenants then a gradual repayment may well be acceptable.

What happened? So many people commented and then nothing. Maybe Gregginit is right she is busy digging up the old patio ready for a new one 😂
or maybe she is too embarrassed to let everyone know there has been a mistake.
Or maybe it’s really bad news and getting back to MN isn’t top of her agenda any more.
