Siam water park Tenerife

Hey, going on holiday next week and we have been told Siam water park is amazing.

Best way to buy tickets, direct or through a third party? Would you go for any upgrades?

Any advice welcome 🤗

Buy them anywhere they are all the same the price where ever you go. Buy upgrades at the park but get there early as they do sell out. Have the best time.

We went in April this year and had a brilliant time. It is definitely worth getting the fast passes as they massively cut down queuing time. I can’t remember whether we got ours online or on the gate now. Definitely get your actual tickets online as there is a big queue to get them at the gate.

Current plan to buy the basic tickets now direct from the park if they are the same price and we will look at upgrades when we arrive.

Any one booked the beds or food?

would you take lots of snacks or buy food at the park?

Personally I wouldn't take many snacks as you'll put your bag in a locker and the rides are so spread out that you probably won't head back to your bags until lunch time. Usual burgers etc but food was ok. It's an amazing place. Been twice and my kids love it!

Don’t take loads of snacks as you won’t want to be carrying them round with you. The on site food is ok - quite burger and chip based but not too bad.

They also search bags so if you do take in drinks or snacks, hide them at the bottom.

This year the reviews have been dreadful. Massive overcrowding. Queuing to get in, queuing for lockers, queuing for rides for an hour. The lazy river looks horrible. Not allowed your own food, take water shoes as your flip flops will get stolen. People pushing and shoving others off floats as soon as they come off the ride they queued an hour for. Fast passes are now €28 each but sell out extremely early on.

The place seems to be run by teenagers this year.

I went this year and don’t recognise any of that description! There was a bit of a queue to get in but it wasn’t awful.

Take water shoes!!!

And wear a one piece swimsuit if possible instead of a bikini, the faster rides pack some speed, and I nearly lost my bikini top on tower of power 😂

We went in May and it was fab. We hadn't pre-bought tickets so we had to queue for about 40 mins to get in, but we didn't queue for more than 25 minutes for and of the rides, a couple we came off then went straight back into the queue and back on!

Lazy river wasn't as warm as I'd have liked but you wouldn't expect it to be jacuzzi temperature.

We didn't have a problem getting lockers, but we went on a weekday. I can imagine a weekend being much more busy.

Also noticed the bad reviews and been put off

we went to slide and splash in Portugal last year and all absolutely loved it. Minimal queuing. Kids want to go to one that’s “even better”- wandering if Siam park fits the criteria but if the massive queues are real I suspect not.

I went last October half term. Just researched beforehand about how to get the best out of it - buy tickets online beforehand, get there for opening time, get a locker as soon as you get in, take water shoes, buy fast passes from one of the shops as soon as you get in. It was the Big Treat and highlight of our holiday, kids and adults loved it.
Don’t bother taking own food, you’re not really supposed to and the food there was fine and plentiful.

Buy all upgrades online - the queue for tickets on the day is so long. Even with prepaid tickets you’ll still have some queuing but not as long.

Get there early, head straight for the beach and get your sun lounges - then you’ll have a good base for the day.

Oh and the queues start well before the park opens.

Take some snacks but the food isn’t bad there and there are lots of options.

We went in May and LOVED it. You have to get the upgrade or you will spend all day queuing whilst the fast pass people go up the empty lane next to you. There's a cheaper upgrade that gives you a wrist band that allows you on the major rides once.

I recommend the champagne club which will be expensive but then you get balinese beds. I don't want the champagne but I do want the unlimited fast pass. We got the VIP cabana for 6 which gave us an all inclusive wrist band as well which was great for food and snacks. We were with family members who spent all day in the cabana.

The lazy river is good and has a ride that you can float off to. Do that. It's on the left as you finish floating round and a staff member pulls you into it.

I didn't do the main drop ride as you couldn't fast pass it and I prefer the raft rides to tube rides.

I didn't get to go in the wave pool as we were too busy on rides. The beach area is great. In an ideal universe you get there early (very early) and secure some beds on the beach.

You can go a second day for cheaper (buy on the day) and we considered doing that so we can enjoy the lazy river and wave pool after a fast pass day doing all the rides.

Food is expensive but good quality. Get lunch early to avoid queues.

Went in Oct last year with teens and loved it. Def arrive half hour at least before it opens, once in then head to the ‘lockers’ where they sell the fast passes. You need a fast pass.

take water shoes and suncream.

also the rides are a lot of two or fours, if you are in a group of three you’ll be spilt up or have a random person added to your group

Agree on the food - good but busy. I think yes to booze.

they sell everything you need but it is £££ - we had such a good time I bought a cap to remember it by

We went to a special night time session as ds wouldn't have coped in the day, it was amazing!!
Definitely wear water shoes.

I’m always a bit wary of water parks and am going to Tenerife in October. How clean is it? Did you end up with a dodgy stomach from the human soup that is a water park? I want to go, I think? but worried about possible bugs etc.

If you are going more than twice, it’s cheaper to buy the yearly ticket. We did this and then went every day for the first two hours until it got busy ( and hot ). The slides are also open Friday and Saturday ebpvenings with music and obviously cooler too.
