Hey, going on holiday next week and we have been told Siam water park is amazing.

Best way to buy tickets, direct or through a third party? Would you go for any upgrades?

Any advice welcome 🤗

We stayed at Coral Los Alisios, booked a package through Jet2. It's perfectly fine. Has a pool, and a small splash park. It's a short walk to the free bus to Siam.

It's VERY smoker heavy though. Was flabbergasted at how many people were still smoking. If you're unlucky enough to have neighbours who smoke, they'll do so on their patio and it will waft into your apartment. So many people chain smoking by the pool, too. All around kids.

I'm not bothered about evening entertainment. There's one young girl doing everything. Space is a bit limited for it. My youngest was perfectly happy though, running around with her new friends. Eldest happy on his phone for some peace.

Meant to add. Pool at hotel is only open 10-6. Really could do with being open til at least 8pm. If you're at the park all day, that's no time for the hotel pool.

Ahhh, I might avoid then. We have someone with lung issues, but thank you for updating.

No worries. Just luck who you end up being next to. I expect the smoking thing is rife in all the hotels. We were lucky this time that our immediate neighbours weren't smokers, but did occasionally have smoke wafting over from two doors down. Also awful around the pool.

So we have now been to both water parks so thought I would come back with our review / opinions. Didn’t plan on going to both but the kids really enjoyed them.

Siam Park

  • more expensive (160euro for 2 adults and 2 kids)
  • amazing grounds, they really put loads of effort into hiding slides, adding plants, plently of shade
  • Wave pool is massive
  • Food is alright and decent prices for a water park (2.50 euro for ice cream)
  • If anyone is less than 110cm it’s very limited on activities, the lost city is for kids but no adults are allow on slides so having a nervous preschooler is a nightmare getting them confident to go on slides by themselves.
  • I wouldn’t bother going unless the kids are over 110cm age of 6/7. It reminds me of having to pay full price for Alton towers but spending the whole day in CBeebies land.
  • it’s extremely busy, the entrance is crazy and easy to loose people, the hotel gave us a pen and told us to write our phone number on the kids arm.

Aqualand

  • cheaper for entry (100 euro for 2 adults and 2 kids) however you then need to rent a sun bed which varies between 2-4 euro per bed
  • food was the most expensive I have ever seen, 7 euro for chips, 17 euro for chicken nuggets, chips and a drink and I am not talking massive portions.
  • Seems better for under 7s, lots of options for smaller kids. They have various areas for kids and a slide area (mini versions of the big slides) which is amazing to see.
  • it’s looking a bit more run down and hardly any shade unless you rent a sun bed.
  • there is a dolphin show included which was good but it made me sad thinking about them performing and the small tank (that’s another thread on animals / sea world etc I’m sure)

Overall both are great, if you have older kids I would go Siam park if it’s within budget. Younger kids I would go aqualand.

The fact that Aqua land has live dolphins is reason to never set foot in there. Why on earth people still go I don’t know?!

But we didn’t go for the dolphins we went to the water park which was great for younger kids. I don’t think there’s an option to only buy a ticket for the water park. And theres no other water park suitable for young kids….unless you can suggest otherwise?

I was one of the first to get there, when it opened in 2008. Have fun.
