Lighthearted thread!

All three of the kids in Harry Potter, Watson, Radcliffe and the other one who I can't be bothered to remember.

AlfietheSchnauzer · 04/08/2023 18:27

Aggie in Corrie and the younger son, the 'footballer' - totally talentless.

Mochudubh · 04/08/2023 18:28

Another vote for Adam Sandler. He's so smug and up himself.

Doesn’t make them good actors

Kristen did well Diana. She also did fairly well in Panic Room and Personal Shopper. Keira Knightly was very good in Atonement and The Dutchess.

Trinity65 · 04/08/2023 18:29

Ed "wooden" Bailey from Corrie
Stephen from Corrie
Danny Dyer
Danni Dyer

Kristen Stewart - her over acting in the Twilight movies is so bad, it’s funny. Tbf, I’ve not seen her in any other movies, so maybe it was just those ones?

Can't believe I'd left off Kirsten! She is literally the worse actress I've seen ever. I think I must have pushed that into my subconscious. XD

mnahmnah · 04/08/2023 18:30

Owen Wilson! He’s exactly the same in everything. Seems so pathetic with it too. Drains the life out of me.

Mollypolly2610 · 04/08/2023 18:30

Steven and Maria from Corrie.

KimWexlersPonyTail · 04/08/2023 18:31

Regards Corrie, the Baileys, Max, Yasmeen and the Canadian serial killer with the whispery voice.

Prescottdanni123 · 04/08/2023 18:32

@AllProperTeaIsTheft

Agreed. I've always reckoned his attempt at an English accent must have been pretty awful otherwise they would have had him speak with one. So it is just as well he just kept his regular accent.

As for Orlando Bloom. Elves are pretty wooden. I think it must have taken a lot of effort to keep that persona up. It also made it more poignant when Legolas did lose control. Like when he didn't want to watch 300 kids and old men die at Helms Deep.

OddOne2023 · 04/08/2023 18:36

The girl playing Gina in East Enders.

She gambols and flings herself around the square like a baby giraffe taking its first steps. And she storms off in EVERY fucking scene!

Ritascornershop · 04/08/2023 18:36

Stephen from Corrie is an American actor not doing a recognizable Canadian accent.

Hugh Grant has branched out a lot since his early films. He was very funny as Jeremy Thorpe, for example.

StagnantBogOfDespair · 04/08/2023 18:45

Tracey in Emmerdale for changing her voice since she started to a little snuffly nasal, stifled whine that has now become impossible to hear or decipher.

stayathomer · 04/08/2023 18:47

Do people not think it’s more they hate the type of actors as opposed to the actual acting? Like a lot of the comedy actors do what needs to be done eg Owen Wilson and Adam sandler and Hugh grant- they’re not meant to be hugely expressive- that’s what gives the comedy!

Liv999 · 04/08/2023 18:48

Adam Sandler
Ben Stiller
Jim Carrey

Can't watch anything with those three in it

Gilmorehill · 04/08/2023 18:49

LardoBurrows · 04/08/2023 02:16

Catherine Tyldesley, because #cakegate.

I agree. Plus almost every other soap
actor.

Thebigblueballoon · 04/08/2023 18:50

Agree with the first two, but not Jim Carrey. Have you seen Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind?

sheworemellowyellow · 04/08/2023 18:51

Nicole Kidman.

She always seems like she’s acting like someone who’s acting. Not at all credible, and no depth.

Danikm151 · 04/08/2023 18:51

Nicholas Cage… specifically Wicker Man.

That one who played Rachel in The Ring

Solaire · 04/08/2023 18:51

Most of the actors in Hollyoaks 🤭

whatsinanameeh · 04/08/2023 18:52

Jennifer Lawrence
Scarlet Johanson
Changing Tatum

Most of the cast of coronation street yet I can't stop watching (especially the baileys, Steve & Debbie)

KnottyKnitting · 04/08/2023 18:53

Brad Pitt- especially in Troy- more wooden than the horse...

It makes me so mad that there are so many so called A list film stars who have absolutely no acting talent especially when there are so many young people coming out of drama schools with more talent in their little finger than the likes of Mr Pitt, Miss Knightly earning millions off the back of their looks...

It's not just since his earlier films - one of those was An Awfully Big Adventure in which he was very much not the floppy haired nice guy.

LaDeeDa123 · 04/08/2023 18:54

Jason Statham by a country mile.

woodhill · 04/08/2023 18:56

Russel Crowe as well
