I don't get it?

Guineapigwoes · 30/07/2023 11:18

Eh?

Danikm151 · 30/07/2023 11:18

Tampons?

Twiglets1 · 30/07/2023 11:18

Tampax?

AtrociousCircumstance · 30/07/2023 11:19

Surrealism 😄

PimpMyFridge · 30/07/2023 11:19

🤣🤣🤣
Awwwww, so cute.
Also, that's good, normalise these things early. 😁
My son 13 knows about these things, he has a sister and a mum and will have a gf one day probably, so I'm not sending him out there clueless, ignorant and useless when it comes to wimmins things (had some bf like that myself in the past, and he's not going to be one of them) 😁

PipinwasAuntieMabelsdog · 30/07/2023 11:20

Is this meant to be cute? I don't get it.

PimpMyFridge · 30/07/2023 11:21

It's funny. When small children say funny things it's cute.

AssertiveGertrude · 30/07/2023 11:22

I suppose the innocence of it all !! yes I do normalise these things (not trying to make a serious thread) but I just thought it was really funny

sometimes mumsnet has no sense of humour Of late and I forget that

What are green pipes though?

Purplecatshopaholic · 30/07/2023 11:26

Sorry, what was Daddy’s… , and what are green pipes? Not a no sense of humour thing, just a don’t understand the joke thing, lol

HopityHope · 30/07/2023 11:28

I also need this explaining. Green pipes? Tampons?

TheFairyCaravan · 30/07/2023 11:30

I don’t get it either. 🤷🏻‍♀️

PurpleChrayne · 30/07/2023 11:30

It's not a lack of MN humour. It's a lack of clarity in the OP! If you'd explained what green pipes were, it would have made sense.

Starseeking · 30/07/2023 11:31

What are green pipes?

SweetPotatoAndPeanutStew · 30/07/2023 11:32

I literally have no idea what you're on about OP 😂

SoupDragon · 30/07/2023 11:33

And sometimes posters forget that others can't see into their head and simply don't know what they mean 😂

Chellybelle · 30/07/2023 11:34

Just say what you mean.

HarrietJet · 30/07/2023 11:35

😵‍💫

Not a lack of sense of humour. Most of us don't know what you mean by green pipes except possibly tampons? I've never had green ones though.

SillySausage21 · 30/07/2023 11:38

Imagine sharing something that we have no idea what you're talking about & then attacking people for not having a sense of humour 🤡 no, you and your DS just aren't funny 🤷🏼‍♀️

Dombasle · 30/07/2023 11:40

I do not understand it either!

No clarification of what belongs to daddy and no idea what green pipes are!

TitoMojito · 30/07/2023 11:40

Less that I've lost my sense of humour on Mumsnet, more that I've lost all sense of reality

AssertiveGertrude · 30/07/2023 11:40

Attacking people is a bit dramatic

You are doing right there.
My friend was brought up in a traditional Irish Catholic (they are lovely, don't get me wrong) family, and periods were 'girls things that you don't need to know about. If his sister was feeling unwell during hers, it could not be mentioned. It was considered taboo and men weren't allowed to discuss it.
That said, when he was about 7 he found some 'invisible' sanitary towels at his aunt's house, stuck them to himself and ran into the living room where a bunch of his male relatives were and shouted ABRACADABRA! I'M INVISIBLE!!!
My son will know it all when the time comes.
