Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just having breakfast and my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. I've gone for Muller rice and assorted fruit this morning. I'm bored of cereal - but it's quick when I wake up hungry! No-one else is up yet & I don't think they will be for while.

The washer's on already & there are a few pots to be done. Saturday's usually no house work day so that's it apart from making sure it's tidy and the kitchen later on.

I'm off out with friends for lunch - not a clue where we're going 🤷‍♀️ I said just tell me what time to be ready and I'll head for a lift 🤣 I'll probably head for a nap when I get home, then paint some more peg people for work. Hansel and Gretel are done, I'm working on business men now for a topic on Parliament. Tempted to do a lady as well even though the teacher's only asked for men in suits.

Both girls went to bed stupidly late last night so will probably spend the day mooching about. Hopefully they'll spend some time with their dad - it's his birthday - rather than alllll day upstairs. Tea will be his choice later on.

Shower after tea & settle down with my crochet, for me. Hopefully it'll tire my eyes a bit, I've not slept well the past couple of nights 💤 Everyone else will be awake until the wee-small hours more than likely!

Just finished 4 long night shifts. Had a mcdoanlds breakfast as a great now lying in bed scrolling mumsnet until i drift off... up about 1pm then I'll.lounge about until its takeaway and wine time

Mum cat excelled herself last night and woke me up at 1.45, 4.45 and 5.50, after which I couldn't get back to sleep. Today I shall mostly be being tired. DD off to her dads, I have minimal plans other than some housework and maybe popping out to M&S to pick up something for tea.

Still upstairs wondering is it normal to be this lazy? Since kids got old enough to go down alone I take every opportunity for a lie in. Am thinking about laundry and some personal filing I need to do today but trying to forget the promise I made to myself to get up early and exercise. I could go now, or instead read the paper with a coffee..... guess which option is going to win!

DH has taken DS to his parents for the weekend so I am child free! I'm currently laid in bed, got a few home magazines, a freshly brewed coffee and some pastries. Gonna lie here and read/MN until lunch, then take the dog out for a big long walk. Get back, bubble bath with face and hair mask, Dominos for lunch and then lie on the sofa all afternoon watching crap on TV. Bliss 🥂

Just had my yoghurt & granola & a coffee.

My Dad's coming to get me & the kids and we're going fishing this morning.

Then a child's birthday BBQ at 3.

Then at 5 I'm going to another friends birthday celebrations - a food festival & drinks.

It's a busy one! It's ALWAYS a busy one.

Going to go for a run out in the car to Formby beach with the dog we will have a pub lunch before heading back.

Dh is about to go out on his motorbike, meeting my nephew.

I was going to go out this afternoon, but now have a delivery due so can't..

Also waiting for tesco this morning.

Had lots of alcohol yesterday as was celebrating our anniversary, so didn't sleep well as I never do when I've had alcohol. Amazingly I don't have a hangover though! So will probably just chill out on the sofa like the lazy s.o.b I am 😆

Morning everyone! DH got up with DDs this morning so I had a lovely lie in. Now downstairs and I've just had breakfast...... Little Scarlet strawberry jam on toast and I'm now drinking my tea and scrolling mumsnet. Earlier I went out in my PJs and inspected the garden with DD1.....another tomato was ripe so she picked it off the vine and ate it there and then.

Everyone is still in PJs and we're wondering what to do with our morning but I'm enjoying the slow start. We're going to MIL's for dinner later but will need to get out and about before then.

Up 6.30am yo listen to Tony Blackburn and had coffee.

Just washed my hair and used the Kerastase products I bought and it looks and feels fab. Expensive but think probably worth it.

Might meet my friend in town later and see what plants the market stall has, after all, you can never buy too many plants can you? 😄

We’re on a little childfree weekend away in Kent, my husbands still asleep, he stayed awake past his usual 9:30 last night, so the dirty stop out needs to sleep in. If he’s still asleep at ten I’ll get him up so he doesn’t waste the day.

This morning we’re going to Herne Bay and we’ll probably have a little brunch picnic on the beach. After that we’re going to do a circular walk, we’ll start at Herne Bay, go to Whitstable, Canterbury and then back to Herne Bay before we go back to our little lodge for the evening. We’ve got a new book we both want to read, so we’ll start reading that to each other tonight.

I was up most of the night with an asthma cough. So I'm going to delegate and take the afternoon off to work on my garden plans, watch a film and snooze

I am sitting in the garden in the sunshine drinking a coffee, whilst the kids play. The market is on in town today so we’ll visit that for lunch then go to the beach. I’m deciding what to defrost for dinner, maybe mince and we’ll have chilli.

I'm sitting in bed with a cup of coffee. I will get up soon and go to see my Dad in his care home. He is very negative and will tell me he wishes he was dead. It's always depressing even though I try to distract him and talk about other things.

I will then stop somewhere to get some lunch and come home and pack my bags - and see if I need to wash or iron anything or pop to the shops for any last minute supplies. I will then do a bit if tidying and online check in. Flying to Norway tomorrow to take my fjords cruise.

I'm on my second coffee and the dc are eating sugary crap cereal and playing on their tablets. In about half an hour we'll head out for a beach walk then stop at Aldi on the way back for actual nourishment!

I've then got a whole list of random jobs to do before the pet sitters come next month. I thought having people stay here with the pets would be easier, but I now need to clear out my kitchen cupboards of shame so they don't get killed by a tupperware avalanche.

Morning we are taking the pup to a "playgroup" honest to god I must be mad this time on a Saturday morning I should
be watching Saturday kitchen in my pj's 😃

Nothing much planned although Dd1 will be visiting for a bit. Then it will be catching up with some TV. Hope everyone has a nice day.

No major plans - I’ve a treadmill in the garage I’ve never used so I might use it today !!
clearing out wardrobes and going to buy a set of hooks to hang scarves. Bought a make up container and have my eye on stackers (due a bit of overtime money)

kids have gone to football so shower for them and not to eat then they get screentime so it’s a quiet morning

Morning @lucysmam .Hope you have a lovely lunch with your friends. I got 6 hours sleep last night so feel like a new woman, . i've had a really terrible July ( healthwise and relationship wise) so hoping August will be a better month for my family and I. Oh was away to work at 8.30am, Only my 17 year old son is up. The girls are still fast asleep. I had granola, honey and greek yoghurt for breakfast. I've done all the housework and am now chilling with a coffee! I bought the tassimo happy coffee machine in the amazon 2 day sale as an early birthday present! it makes me happy everytime I make a coffee! I have district nurses coming at 2pm. we have stalls by the riverside this morning( part of our village's fortnight) and the pipeband will be playing. will do the spot the odd man out competition with my youngest. My 12 year old is watching all the world cup foootball matches. She is captain of the local under 14 football team and lives,eats and breathes football! Tea will be one of our hello fresh meals ( got a great deal when I signed up to them). This evening, we're taking the girls to see the Barbie movie!! Was blue sky here two hours ago but cloudy now,

I will let you know how it goes Mrsjayy. I'm going on my own and am a bit nervous getting ready but I'm really looking forward to feasting my eyes and relaxing.

Already walked dog + ridden. Just got back and sitting with a coffee + scrolling. DD will be riding at 11.30 then has another lesson at 3pm so most of the afternoon will be at the yard.
DH will walk dog again and then go down the allotment until tea time.
Zero housework to do as we were meant to be having friends over but they have cancelled. So my 6 hour cleaning marathon yesterday means a weekend free from doing any now, bliss!

I have been up since about 7.30. On third cuppa and have had a protein bagel and cottage cheese for breakfast. Emptied the dishwasher.

Nothing exciting planned here. Am going to take the dog for her first walk out of the garden for a few weeks as she has been poorly. But she seems livelier today. May try to get DH to come too and he can bring her home and I can continue on further and pass a friend’s house to drop off some courgettes from our garden - she gave me some potatoes yesterday.

I think someone in one of these threads a few weeks ago recommended a book - Gardening in Pyjamas which I bought and am hoping to start today. And might actually do some gardening.

It is DS’s birthday next Saturday so I want to start thinking of some bits to get for him. He is 22 and tends to just buy what he wants so it’s not easy!

My friend goes on all sorts of adventures on her own she did the Norwegian cruise last year looks amazing, have a great time and relax sounds like you need it.
