Good Morning Mumsnet! What's everyone up to today?

I'm just having breakfast and my first cuppa of the day, in my kitchen spot. I've gone for Muller rice and assorted fruit this morning. I'm bored of cereal - but it's quick when I wake up hungry! No-one else is up yet & I don't think they will be for while.

The washer's on already & there are a few pots to be done. Saturday's usually no house work day so that's it apart from making sure it's tidy and the kitchen later on.

I'm off out with friends for lunch - not a clue where we're going 🤷‍♀️ I said just tell me what time to be ready and I'll head for a lift 🤣 I'll probably head for a nap when I get home, then paint some more peg people for work. Hansel and Gretel are done, I'm working on business men now for a topic on Parliament. Tempted to do a lady as well even though the teacher's only asked for men in suits.

Both girls went to bed stupidly late last night so will probably spend the day mooching about. Hopefully they'll spend some time with their dad - it's his birthday - rather than alllll day upstairs. Tea will be his choice later on.

Shower after tea & settle down with my crochet, for me. Hopefully it'll tire my eyes a bit, I've not slept well the past couple of nights 💤 Everyone else will be awake until the wee-small hours more than likely!

I’ve not long been up. Had a late night and the dog was up barking at foxes at 2am. Just having toast and coffee.

DH, DD and I are meeting my DPs for lunch later. Need to decide where. DS is working 12-8.

Hopefully lunch will be lateish and big enough that we don’t need to cook tonight.

Doing a few holiday prep bits as we are off to Scotland next weekend for a week. Otherwise, reading, taking the dog out and generally relaxing. There are some chores but DH and I have agreed to ignore them today and crack on first thing tomorrow.

Having a cup of tea right now while DS has his lunch, then we're going to go to an art exhibition in town as they have free entry today as part of the town festival. Then need to do the food shop and the rest of the day shall be spent grumbling at the rain because DS really wants to go swim in the lake but I do not want to when its pouring it down all day long.

DD is in bed, ill, so she won't be going anywhere today.

Game night in the evening, if my friend is willing to bike here in the rain.

I am drinking tea while dh makes sausage butties.
I've pegged out washing.
Soon we are going to drive 3 hours to move our son out of his uni house.

Then drive 3 hours back and collapse on the sofa!

Morning everyone, i'm off to the cinema by myself to see Talk to me 😱 then need to buy a few last bits prior to my darling granddaughter coming to stay for a few nights.

Had some hazelnut chocolate waffles for breakfast (an accidental addition to an online grocery order that has now become a weekly must have) and made some banana bread to take with us on a picnic. We're going for a walk to the nature reserve when my husband finishes work. Hopefully it won't be too wet or we'll be eating the picnic huddled in with the squirrels 😁

I’m in bed with coffee listening to the radio. DP has just gone down to carry on his garden room project.

I’m getting up in a sec and going to pack for DS1 as we’re off to California on Wednesday (very very excited).

I did DS2 yesterday and have rolled all his outfits together with pants and socks in a packing cube, in the hope that they will be slightly less messy and disorganised
as we are moving around a lot.

Later the boys are off to their dads. I’m getting my nails done and my hair cut then going to our neighbours 25th anniversary party.

Will be a good night!

Woke early and had a blissful hour reading in bed with a cup of tea, had shower, put on wash took dog for a walk on the beach.. came in, hung up washing fried egg sandwich and tea, quick English lesson for one of my Ukrainian guests (.kitchen utensils,.crockery, cutlery etc. today!).

About to wake kids, defrost freezer while they emerge from their beds and and think I will make a picnic and take them for a good long walk and maybe a swim then a film evening with popcorn and pizza and other unhealthy things

It's DD2s birthday! Been up since 8am so she could open her presents. Off to her favourite ice cream parlour later, with possible walk which is weather and MIL dependant, and then birthday dinner out.

MIL is staying here. She's very lovely but utterly scatty and drives me insane. She's managed to come without a waterproof jacket, which may be deliberate as she can't walk the length of herself.

Currently watching Sweden v Italy in pjs. Then shower, so I can avoid MIL's questions about what we're doing today and when. Which is ironic given she is the most disorganised person I know!

Currently sat in the hairdresser with foils in looking in the mirror and wondering if I always look this bad 🫣.

Meeting DH and youngest DC afterwards for brunch and to collect DS’s birthday cake from the same bakery - best vegan cakes ever.
Need to be home by 3pm for the balloons being delivered then expecting a house full for drinks at at 6pm. Birthday dinner booked for 7.30 at DS’s favourite restaurant then the young ones will hit the town and us oldies will head back to ours.

Ive been up since 5am (the dog was sick) so I’ve had a cup of coffee in peace before the rest of the house woke up.

3rd load of washing on and now I’m going to get everything out of the car and get ready to go paddle boarding for the afternoon.

I should do some housework but it can wait.

on the way home from paddle boarding I will grab the stuff to make a curry for tea.

Good morning Lucysmam and others. I wake extremely early most days and never can get back so I've been up since six. I've been to Aldi for food and then to Dunelm for curtains and a lampshade. Other objects flew into the trolley of their own volition so I have cushions, napkins, a table runner and some other bits. Later I'll hang the curtains and put up the lampshade. Then clear the stuff I'm getting rid of into bin bags to take to the charity shop. Then it's housework and washing. Gammon for dinner. Have a good day

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself (V sore throat/ears). On day 10 now and the GP thinks it's viral....it's always the way after I finish teaching for the Summer. Meh!

I need to go food shopping as we are down to the last toilet roll and the fridge is empty. DH is out with DS 3/4 at football training so the house is quiet. Teenagers are still asleep! Need to walk the dog too.

If someone could send energy vibes (and paracetamol) over to me it would be much appreciated!

Morning everyone, I have a chest infection so not much happening today, my eldest dd is going to take youngest 2 out for a zoom around on their scooters and then over to mcdonalds for happy meals. Both wet the beds last night so lots of washing to get through today, hope everyone has a lovely day!

Very slow morning as one of the DC woke up at 4 this morning being sick and isn’t very well bless her. DH feels a but peaky too, he always catches it from them. Just got washing on and a chicken cooking for later and listening to the other two non poorly Dc argue about the xbox! I’ll take them out for a bit later but not sure where, currently pouring down here! Have a lovely day everyone!

I've been for my Saturday run with my friend but with an added stop off for coffee and a holiday catch up. I'm now sitting in the garden with a cup of tea and fruit/muesli/yoghurt for a late breakfast.

I'm going to mooch into town with ds2 when I've had a shower, and possibly take ds1 out driving at some point this afternoon as we've just got him insured on my car to practice. He's had enough lessons now for me not to be in fear of my life.

Then we're at friends' for an unexpected last minute bbq tonight, so I'm looking forward to that.

My mild sniffle from yesterday has turned into a stinking cold so hoping I can hang out on the sofa as much as possible today 😂already been out to see my mum’s cat- poor thing has broken her leg and has to stay in a cage for 6 weeks, so I’ve been round there twice a day while my mum is away for my sister’s graduation.

Currently mumsnetting/watching Bluey with DD on my knee. My best friend is on her way over to cut DH’s hair- he has it long but it hasn’t been trimmed in ages and the ends are all scraggly. She’s bringing her toddler who will play with DD and then we’ll all have pasta bake and garlic bread for lunch.

Not sure what to do this afternoon, DH is working and I don’t want to abandon DD to endless screen time so might do some easy baking like flapjacks or get the paints out and leave her to it. Really need to get started on my book club book but my kindle is not cooperating!

Good morning all. As usual dh is at work today. I was up and out early this morning with dd9. I had my nails and eyebrows done then we went to Smyths for her to spend some of her birthday money, went to the butchers for steak for tea then to B&m as I needed a load of unexciting household stuff.

We were back home for 10.40 and she’s now with her friend next door but one.

Dd18 has just this minute set off to work where she’ll be til 8pm, dd15 is still asleep and the kitten is going mental chasing a pen around the floor.

My plan for the rest of the day is to catch up on the washing, the house needs hoovering and my Tesco shop is due early this afternoon. My sister, niece and nephew are coming round at some point too.

We’re having streak for tea then I’ll stick a film on later before bed.

I'm off to an ABBA themed 60th birthday party later 😁

Slept in, too stressed to sleep at night, just showered. Heading downstairs for a ☕️
