I know at first glance it looks like Lucy M Lloyd

But the capital L of Lloyd is completely different to the capital letter of the first name - and I'm sure Incan see an o! Making it not Lucy

Any thoughts please?

Looks like Lorey to me.

TheOhGodOfHangovers · 23/07/2023 21:00

Louey?

FourEyesGood · 23/07/2023 21:00

Looks like it could be Louey: not a spelling of Louis I’ve ever seen before, but you never know!

Desdemona44 · 23/07/2023 21:00

Looks like louey m Floyd to me

Joebloggs12 · 23/07/2023 21:01

Louey?

girljulian · 23/07/2023 21:01

Lorey

saveforthat · 23/07/2023 21:01

Looks like Lovey to me.

Flipin · 23/07/2023 21:01

Louey Floyd

Velvian · 23/07/2023 21:02

Louey M Lloyd.

Joolsin · 23/07/2023 21:03

I also think it's Louey. But not Floyd, as the capital F would need a crosshatch and it's not there, so it's definitely Lloyd.

Louey M Lloyd.

This. The surname is very clearly Lloyd.

TheOwlChronicles · 23/07/2023 21:03

Hmm

But can it be Louey if the capital letter L is so different to the surname L?

Louey Floyd. Looks like a misspelling of Louis.

MoralOrLegal · 23/07/2023 21:06

I would say the first letter is very similar to the start of the surname; it's just that the "L" of "Lloyd" has an extra little flourish at the start. Rather like the difference between the two "y"s.

TheOwlChronicles · 23/07/2023 21:06

To add to the (slight!) mystery .. the note comes with the gift of a ring - meaning that the recipient of the note has to be female I think

I don’t see a huge difference between the two capital Ls

I also read Louey Lloyd

Doggymummar · 23/07/2023 21:07

Louey m floyd

PissOffJeffrey · 23/07/2023 21:07

The Ls really aren't all that different though?

The ys however..

Lismore · 23/07/2023 21:07

Wow! Intriguing

MoralOrLegal · 23/07/2023 21:09

"Louey" as a nickname for Louise/Louisa?

Hellocatshome · 23/07/2023 21:10

The Ls are not that different I think its Louey M Lloyd.

TheOwlChronicles · 23/07/2023 21:10

No I agree - they both look like L's of course - just wondered why one (especially at the top) has a different flourish to the other

I wondered if it may be a J but that makes no sense as a name
