It’s only July but I want to talk Cosy Autumn stuff!

I’m sat in my garden (with a break in the rain). I have a hoodie on and a fire going and a good cup of tea. I’ve been looking at making a list of ideas for Christmas gifts and ordered the new school uniform!

Anyone else up for a some pre-autumn cosy/ness? I’m thinking the pumpkin decorated glass mug I saw advertised at The Range is a step too far at this point in time?

I absolutely love September onwards, new coat, new boots, kicking leaves, my birthday month, Halloween, bonfire nights, Nigella fairy lights in my kitchen, Christmas chutneys, carol singers, church carol concerts.....my favourite time of the year! Would absolutely be happy living in northern climes as hate the hot weather (now questioning why I go abroad each year for the sun!)

Looks like September is going to be a hot one. You might not be needing those boots just yet. Put your flip flops and sunglasses at the ready....

Starting to plan my autumn and Christmas decs. We weren't in our house last year as we had a huge fire last summer and only moved back in in May so it will be our first autumn/Christmas here and I like to go hard on the decs so excited for that. But it is still July and I've got some hope there will be a bit of summer back again before autumn comes in proper.

This thread got me thinking so I've just ordered some quite fancy and posh outdoor Christmas lights

I made a batch of pumpkin snickerdoodles at the weekend in honour of this summer's tribute to autumn its got going on. I might have consumed a few cinnamon lattes in my pumpkin mug as well.

My DD1 convinced DH to buy her an Autumn mug in next this morning! 😂 Of course, they came home and her sisters also wanted one 🙄

I bought a new fluffy blanket for the living room this week! Dh has just made some banana bread. It just doesn't feel like summer. We haven't been able to go out without waterproof coats or sit down and relax in the garden for weeks.

I'm quickly running out to mow the lawn today as we're predicted rain later and up until around 8th August, or as far as I can see on the BBC weather app.

It's not as cold as last week here, though.

I'll have a look in the Range next week, but I've just been looking at new arrivals in Emma Bridgewater and they have some nice autumn themed mugs. I usually buy a bonfire or Halloween mug from there each year, but those aren't out yet.

Funnily enough I was looking at EB mugs. I probably would go for something autumnal but not necessarily Halloween only as I am running out of room in my mug cupboard due to the sheer amount of Whittards hot chocolate.

I ordered a lovely throw embellished with pumpkins today from Next, been looking for one for ages.
