Adults only holiday next week within 5 hours flight?

JetStreamComeBack · 22/07/2023 12:52

It’s school holidays, but have the chance at an adults only holiday next week. Up to 7 days, thinking within 5 hours flight time. Needs to be somewhere the sea is warmer than here. Preferable adults only or somewhere that kids aren’t going to be running around. Not been abroad for decades it seems and oit of practice.
Bonus points of you can fly with an airline with premium or business class seats, but I don’t know of that’s going to make the budget go crazy!
Thinking all inclusive or half board. Never done that before always been self catering for cost.

Try looking on tui or jet2 and filter by adult only.

JetStreamComeBack · 22/07/2023 13:02

Thanks, that’s good to know you can do that, will try that.

No idea where to start/which direction to fly in, so hoping for some magical inspiration of where people go this time of year to stop me spending any free time researching and then going no where!

There are loads of adults only operators. Google, tui and sandals will help

NoSunNoSun · 22/07/2023 13:10

What is your budget? Tui does lots of adult only holidays in places like Greece and Cyprus etc?

I don’t think any Sandals resort will be within a five hour flight.

Just use a well known travel operators website.

AffIt · 22/07/2023 13:11

I love The Island in Crete - we've booked through Tui in the past.

MaisyMary77 · 22/07/2023 13:15

We went to the Atlantica Kalliston in Crete last year. Adult only. Absolutely wonderful!

Flossflower · 22/07/2023 13:45

Are you a teacher? 😀

Nope but good guess 😂
Not happy that the boy time we can go is in the school holidays!

Thanks for that. I have used google once or twice seeing as I’m not quite 103. Just nice to get some recommendations as somewhere to start form or just think fuck it, they’ve been, sounds good, let’s just book something.

Looks lovely, but full for next week.

Do check temperatures next week before you book.

Appreciate it is near nuclear.
Will only go somewhere with aircon and I hate lying by the pool in the sun anyway. So would be sitting in Shante or swimming in sea.

Another criteria I think would be no long transfer the other end, so max of an hour.

Hecate01 · 22/07/2023 14:32

Try Paphos. TUI has a few TUI Blue for two hotels there which are adults only and the transfer time from the airport is anything from 20 minutes depending on where you are on the drop off list. We've always got a taxi so we don't have to hang around waiting for everyone to get on the coach.

JetStreamComeBack · 22/07/2023 14:40

Thats real helpful thanks, didn’t know about the tui blue thing, that’s what I’m looking for I think! And that sounds sarcastic but it isn’t!

Hotel Guayarmina Princess in Tenerife or Atlantica Imperial Resort in Rhodes (specifically the swim up rooms!)

Best hotels I've been too adults only so far.

voxnihili · 22/07/2023 14:52

The hotel guayarmina mentioned above was the next adults only place on our list before DD came along. We were working our way around the TUI platinum adults only resorts. All have been lovely. We’ve been to Tenerife a couple of times with DD and have walked past the guayarmina several times - it looks lovely and definitely on our list for about 14 years time!

TheFairyCaravan · 22/07/2023 14:53

There’s a Tui adult only hotel in Santo Tomas Menorca. It’s practically on a beautiful beach.

We’ve just come back from Santa eularia in Ibiza We stayed here and it was bloody lovely! You could hear the sea from your room, it was just chilled but classy and easy walking into the town. No raving nearby but easy reach of Ibiza town if you wanted.

Thanks for all the suggestions everyone, will work through them.

Had a brief look at a tui blue one, said all inclusive but that only included buffets and if you wanted the al a carte restaurants that was still on top. How much extra should I budget for that, or are the buffets okay? I don’t want stooge and chips, nor do I want to get a vomiting bug or have food other people have leaned/breathed over or touched.

Stella Island in Crete plus BA business class flight should tick your boxes. It's Uber luxurious, adult only, all inclusive and 4 hours away.
