Adults only holiday next week within 5 hours flight?

JetStreamComeBack · 22/07/2023 12:52

It’s school holidays, but have the chance at an adults only holiday next week. Up to 7 days, thinking within 5 hours flight time. Needs to be somewhere the sea is warmer than here. Preferable adults only or somewhere that kids aren’t going to be running around. Not been abroad for decades it seems and oit of practice.
Bonus points of you can fly with an airline with premium or business class seats, but I don’t know of that’s going to make the budget go crazy!
Thinking all inclusive or half board. Never done that before always been self catering for cost.

We went to the Tui Blue Adriatic Beach hotel in Croatia a few years ago. Absolutely loved it.

watersprites · 22/07/2023 23:41

Santorini, stay in an expensive boutique hotel in Oia & there is unlikely to be kids.

msmatcha · 22/07/2023 23:57

There's a lovely adult only hotel on playa Blanca lanzarote. About 40 mins from the airport.

Stella Island in Crete plus BA business class flight should tick your boxes. It's Uber luxurious, adult only, all inclusive and 4 hours away.

Came on to recommend the same

I think you'll struggle with no buffet, AI and adults only with availability in August in Europe, as you're looking at the Caribbean for a decent choice for that sort of thing.

Hotel Guayarmina Princess in Tenerife or Atlantica Imperial Resort in Rhodes (specifically the swim up rooms!)

Best hotels I've been too adults only so far.

Just seen this is one of the affected hotels with the fires!

Would you consider a cruise? Look at Virgin Voyages. Adults only, new ship and it looks really good.

TomAllenWife · 25/07/2023 09:54

@happywotsit @JetStreamComeBack I can confirm the Virgin cruises are amazing

mamaduckbone · 25/07/2023 11:34

We just came back from Fuerteventura (4 hrs flight) and our hotel had a 'Royal Level' which is adults only - we were with kids so didn't actually use it but looked lovely and has excellent reviews. Occidental Jandia Playa.

mamaduckbone · 25/07/2023 11:35

Also the temperatures were a bearable 28-30!

I'm going to marmaris next week, to an adults only hotel

Went in may, can't wait to go back

Will take a look thanks! Do you feel trapped/hemmed in by people?

Which one was/is it?

TomAllenWife · 25/07/2023 15:13

@JetStreamComeBack not at all!

There were about 6 restaurants, lovely bars, the room was fabulous with a hammock on our balcony

It's very adults orientated (cock ring and vibrator in the room)

But we loved it and would 100% do it again but only Virgin. Not blue rinse brigade, very geared towards 30s/40s/50's gay & straight couples

Casa de Maris, I got th last single room, but there should be doubles!

gogomoto · 25/07/2023 15:24

@JetStreamComeBack

I don't feel hemmed in at all on cruises. I do prefer adults only though, I've done Marella (TUI) adults only which is ai. You are in port all day most days and sail overnight in the Mediterranean

Wattiss · 25/07/2023 15:31

Madeira is very nice and not as hot as southern Europe. Porto Santa Maria is an adults only hotel in the centre of Funchal so good for trips and outings.

thatsnotmylifeitstoocrazy · 25/07/2023 15:33

I have nothing to add, apart from I’m very jel

RoundAndBeautiful · 25/07/2023 15:34

Just booked Pioneer Beach in Paphos for next week, its adults only😎

Crikeyalmighty · 25/07/2023 15:37

Just Book flights on BA if you can and pay the club Europe thing upgrade - usually about £70 or so each way if you want 'first class' - although I wouldn't bother as only a 2 hr flight- instead I would pay for the lounges at each end to make it seem nicer

Cookerhood · 25/07/2023 15:40

😵😂

Daveismyhero · 25/07/2023 15:43

Theres an adults only Riu hotel in Sal, Cape Verde thats lovely!

dcadmamagain · 25/07/2023 15:58

I would imagine it’s marmaris bay resort. It’s adults only

voyage price are currently running desks to this hotel.

I highly recommend it - gorgeous location. And great good. But it’s a bit secluded so if you want to go out lots it’s not for you - if you want rest and relaxation in a beautiful surroundings find it’s brilliant

also on a hillside so no good if you have issues walking and you’ll do a lot of steps
