Download the Freedom App. Bans all fun sites from 6-6 for me and makes a massive difference. Can tailor it how you want.

Me:

6:15- Alarm goes off
6:25- get up, get dressed in gym stuff, radio on Virgin, stick a wash on or put overnight washing out, unload dishwasher, vitamin and probiotic and a cup of tea and a glass of water
6:45- tell the kids to get up. Feed birds.
6:55- tell the kids again- sort their breakfast, do DD’s hair.
7:20- in car, drive to school bus
7:30- at bus. Park car and go for a run or go to the gym
9am- back home.

AC2022 · 21/07/2023 23:17

Alarm goes off at 6:51 and I jump straight into the shower. I’m back in bed by 7:00 and have a 30 minute nap.
7:30-8:00 Dry hair, make-up and get dressed.
8:00 leave for work

I love my bed too. Husband refuses to let me have a toastie maker and a mini fridge in the bedroom in case I take up permanent residence there..

Followwill · 21/07/2023 23:18

6:45 alarm goes off. Get up at 7 and shower and get ready. Get my 3 year old ready around 7:30. Leave the house around 8:10am to drop him off to the childminder and then go straight to work. Manage to get to work for 9 by the skin of my teeth.

frenchfancy81 · 21/07/2023 23:40

Up at 7.20, kettle on, quick shower, wake son up, make his breakfast, get dressed, get his bits ready for school, get ready and drink tea, get him dressed etc then leave at 8.15 for school or leave at 8 on the days I work. Rarely eat breakfast- toast ot crumpet with marmite or peanut butter if I do.

bossybloss · 21/07/2023 23:40

6 o'clock already and I am just in the middle of a dream.
I was kissing Valentino by a crystal blue Italian stream.

HighEndGrifters · 22/07/2023 00:02

Alarm goes off at 7.30, make sure DS is on the move, 7.45 he comes in to say goodbye.

Tell him I love him, to drive safely, see you later.

Stick relaxing meditation music on Alexa and go back to sleep at 9.30 ish.

Wake up, take thyroxine, shout good morning down to DH, await my delivery of a cup of coffee, wait until thirty minutes on thyroxine is up, drink coffee, plan day and dinner.

Check bank accounts, check investments.

Eventually get up.

Retirement is bloody marvellous.

Both of us retired a full year in a few weeks and we haven't had a serious cross word in that time.

Should have done it years ago.

mrsfollowill · 22/07/2023 00:08

I WFH 95% of the time. I have a very relaxed start to the day. Live with DH and adult DS who both get up earlier than me,
I normally get up at 7.10 am- quick bathroom visit (if I want a shower I wait until they have gone to work) I normally have a bath/shower before bed every night.
Drink cup of tea DH makes for me. Then about 3 more teas.
DH leaves for work 7.30 am- drives 5 mins down the road and he is there.
DS goes out around 7:45am- he gets the bus but is normally at work 8:20am for an 8:45am start ( if he could drive and had a car would be there in 5-10 mins tops) .

I log on for my job around 8:10-815 am and am normally at my dining room table until 530- 6ish on my laptop. Some days I just thrown some clothes on, drag a brush through my hair and that's me good to go. If I have a meeting that will be on camera I make a bit more effort 😂Days I go to the office - well I'm lucky if I get there at 9. Very flexible job.

RuffledKestrel · 22/07/2023 00:08

Work day:

7:30am - turn off alarm and go back to sleep.
7:50am - wake up, check phone, or alternatively accidentally turn off this alarm.
8:00 - get washed, do teeth and get dressed in-between catching up on what's going on via my phone.
8:20 - wake up/check on my various animals (feed and water as required).
8:40 - make lunch/huel for myself, throw into work bag.
8:50 - leave for work. Alternatively, wake up to my emergency alarm and do all of the above in 15min flat without looking at my phone.

Non-work day:
Turn off all alarms and wake up naturally around 9/10am usually.
After 10min or so of slowly waking up I'll meander to the kitchen, make a coffee, maybe some toast and either go back to bed and lounge on my phone or sit in the living room and read.

CC4712 · 22/07/2023 00:12

I have no set, rigid routine! In general though:
Alarm set at 8:30, but generally wake naturally (or by the dog!) at 8ish.
Wee and wash face- get a coffee
Sit in front of computer and start work
DH also WFH, so one of us will make breakfast (We don't have children BTW)
Brush teeth
Weekends, I might sleep in till 9/9:30am sometimes

Brrrrrrrrrrrr · 22/07/2023 00:13

Drink pint of lemon water on an empty stomach. Make and eat breakfast with black coffee, have a scroll for a while, take vitamins and drink another pint of just water. Shower. Go to work.

Doodar · 22/07/2023 00:15

i set the dishwasher and washing machine before I go to bed.
prep my lunch for the next day, usually leftovers.
shower before bed.
wake up 7.15, snooze till 7.30, quick wash, out of the house by 8am.
breakfast at work.
I have teens so less work in the mornings.
Teens empty dishwasher and hang/dryer washing before I get in.
one teen preps and cooks twice a week, i batch cook on a Sunday, 2-3 meals, enough for lunches too.

DogsvsCats · 22/07/2023 00:20

Weekday/ term time
Alarm at 6.30 - nudge DH who will have ignored his 2 alarms as he needs to be on the move
Go back to sleep
7.15 drink coffee DH has kindly delivered
7.45 wake youngest / start chores
8.40 wave off youngest and finish chores
Shower / get dressed
9/10am start work

Holidays/ weekends
No alarm
Naturally wake up 8am ish
Stay in bed as long as possible with tea / coffee before starting the day

smooththecat · 22/07/2023 00:23

Tetchypants · 21/07/2023 23:22

8:00 get up, clean teeth, quick shower.
8:07 make cuppa, put make up on
8:15 start work

This is what’s wrong with me. No way can I get this done in that time. Heating the milk for the coffee and making the coffee itself takes at least 5 mins.
