Just that really. Ours is a tumbling pile of mess.

I'm thinking an umbrella stand might work to tidy it up a bit?

I hate rolls of wrapping paper. I always buy sheets. They're stored in a box in my hall cupboard along with gift bags & tags

Talipesmum · 09/07/2023 23:16

In a wide drawer.
Really Useful Company do see through plastic boxes specially designed for wrapping paper. I always want to get one then I remember we have the drawer.

NeedToBookAGetaway · 09/07/2023 23:16

Stood in bottom of wardrobe (birthday paper) i tend to have 1 pink style, 1 blue, 1 multi. That covers everyone

Xmas paper is all in roll wrap carrier bags stood inside the solid tree skirt. I buy loads in sales so aways have stacks up there.

EversoDetermined · 09/07/2023 23:18

In something similar to these hanging on a hook in the understairs cupboard.

Mine looks like this one

Ram® Christmas Wrapping Paper Storage Bag Fabric Gift Wrap Storage (82 x 34 x 13 cm) For Paper, Tags & Bows https://amzn.eu/d/hfX6e4l

It’s one of my most grown up possessions. Get one and you won’t look back.

caringcarer · 09/07/2023 23:45

I have a large storage bag for wrapping paper too. Xmas and birthday and scissors and sellotape all fits in.

Howlongwillthistake · 09/07/2023 23:51

I use a folding camping chair cover. Toggle it shut and stays on top of wardrobe

Fushia123 · 09/07/2023 23:54

We had a delivery in a tall cardboard box. I cut it down to just taller than a roll of wrapping paper. All paper stored tidily away since.

RosesAndHellebores · 09/07/2023 23:59

I have a gift bag containing sellotape, silver ink pen, scissors, ribbons, bows, gift tags which is kept at the bottom of a wardrobe. Rolls of wrapping paper are in a high sided cardboard box thingy - can't remember where it came from.

meddysam · 10/07/2023 00:04

really useful wrapping box

greenmarsupial · 10/07/2023 00:05

I have the Really Useful Box mentioned above. It's very good and slides under the
sofa for storage.

LordSalem · 10/07/2023 00:10

In a long plastic bag from a card shop. Upright in the boiler cupboard.

Tintackedsea · 10/07/2023 01:04

The Really Useful Wrapping Paper Box.

It's really useful.

DogbertMcDogglesworth · 10/07/2023 01:12

I sewed a hem round the open side of an old pillowcase and threaded a ribbon through it to make a drawbag.
Then added some pockets out of the pillowcase flap that I'd cut off for sellotape and bows etc.
It hangs on the back of a tall cupboard door in the kitchen and is the perfect length for rolls of paper.

Illdoittommorow · 10/07/2023 02:41

I actually store mine in an Ikea bag, the blue one with a zip, perfect, then on top of wardrobe.

Fab973 · 10/07/2023 03:17

Ikea Plastic Bag Dispenser, White, 58 x 51 x 1 cm https://amzn.eu/d/at92Cas

amazing purchase

Furries · 10/07/2023 03:49

Mine is all in a drawer in one of the spare rooms.

It’s my gift-wrapping drawer, which is the ordinary person’s version of Mr Spelling’s gift-wrapping room in his mansion 🤣. That nugget of information has not left my memory yet.

I did see one thread on here, where a poster’s genius OH had built cupboards/drawers under the stairs and had included a pull out section in the small place at the top for rolls of wrapping paper.

After DCs started leaving home DH converted a room into our dressing room. We don't own that many clothes so we now have 'the wrapping paper cupboard', 'the party cupboard' (spare glasses, cutlery, jugs, twinkly lights etc) and 'the Christmas cupboard'.

DSiL calls it 'the yoga room' because of all the mirrored doors. Yoga has never been performed in the room.

Porridgeislife · 10/07/2023 05:25

Long plastic wrapping paper box similar to the Really Useful ones.

Honestly, it’s a godsend. I keep a few packs of mixed birthday cards, sellotape & scissors in there so we’re always ready to go.

Meredusoleil · 10/07/2023 05:49

An old wicker laundry basket minus lid!

AlltheFs · 10/07/2023 05:57

Really useful box -it’s probably the best thing I own, it can fit absolutely loads. It has lived under the bed or in a cupboard. Currently in a cupboard.

I bought loads of very cheap Xmas wrap last Jan so will not need to buy any for about 30 years 😂

minisoksmakehardwork · 10/07/2023 06:22

@AlltheFs - I second the really useful box. We have 2. One for Xmas wrap, the other for birthday. They have a tray in for tags etc so everything I need for wrapping as always to hand. Xmas one is stored in the garage until needed. Birthday one lives in the dining room.
