Just that really. Ours is a tumbling pile of mess.

I'm thinking an umbrella stand might work to tidy it up a bit?

In the drawer of a cupboard. That I purchased for this reason specifically (I'm aware that buying a cupboard for wrapping paper etc is unusual).

I have a draw under my bed which stores all the wrapping paper and accessories. Also holds spare presents, cards. along the general theme of the ikea suggestions it is an ikea bed.

Catspyjamas17 · 10/07/2023 09:48

In an ottoman with other stationery - envelopes, bubble wrap, spare gift bags and so on.

Housekeeperbatcocoa · 10/07/2023 09:48

Mine is just tucked behind my sofa.

I don't. I buy a roll as needed.

So you buy a new roll every time you need to wrap something and then dispose of the leftovers? I hope I've misunderstood and you do store the roll somewhere/how, otherwise that's really wasteful....

I never even knew actual wrapping specific storage boxes or bags existed, amazing.

Storage bags from Amazon I've found much better than the really useful plastic box which I find heavier and harder to shove into a cupboard.

Love my wrapping paper storage bag

This level of organisation is making me anxious! Are people really this organised? Or are you a specialist sub section of peep?

mogtheexcellent · 10/07/2023 10:03

I have two wide shallow drawers in my home office. top one is for the paper and bags, lower one for tags, bits n bobs and a large basket full of ribbons.

its annoying as I cant get to everything easily as drawers not big enough.

I always dream of a wrapping room when im looking at mansions of rightmove in preparation for a lottery win. Also a flower arranging room with all my vases in.

Shoved down the side of the wardrobe

MardyMcBlowdry · 10/07/2023 10:06

I got a drawstring bag from Etsy. I don't like the rolls to stick out of the top of their storage, and a box doesn't work because it has to fit in an odd-shaped space in the airing cupboard, so I hunted on Etsy and found just what I needed. I have one bag for Christmas paper and another for everything else.

We have one of these from Hobbycraft.

I'm definitely not this organised! Jealous of those that are though.

I have an old fashioned writing desk with a shallow drawer, where I keep wrapping paper, ribbons, tape and scissors.

I don’t keep lots of types of paper - two rolls max. I used to buy silver foil which worked for everything, but that turned out to be environmentally unfriendly. Now I just pick a pattern that isn’t pink, and doesn’t say “happy xxxx”.

Deciding not to keep off cuts and scraps changed my life sorry nana

SoftSheen · 10/07/2023 10:25

In a wrapping paper box that I got from Hobbycraft. Game changer.

RustyBear · 10/07/2023 10:26

In the drawer of this chest, along with birthday & Christmas cards, ribbons, tags etc.

I keep christmas wrapping paper in the loft in a bag like this- it holds a lot of paper.

My birthday/other celebration paper is kept in a trunk like this- in the dining room ( cost me £10 at auction a few years ago)

I got a special wrapping paper bag - stores about 20 rolls plus space for bows etc. Before that I used one of those upright shopping trolleys I got from IKEA

DuckBushCityLimit · 10/07/2023 11:28

I use a zip-up suit carrier - it hangs up in my wardrobe. Just the right length and doesn't take up any floor or shelf space.

RoyalImpatience · 10/07/2023 11:32

Ikea wrapping storage.
Amazing. Have one downstairs for bday and one hidden upstairs for Xmas

Iloveanicegarden · 10/07/2023 11:57

@AlltheFs Why do we do that.....buy loads of stuff cos it's cheap then after a couple of years the cry goes up..'can't use that one AGAIN.' I bought a really nice selection of paper pre covid...and since then I've given money. Children are all growed up and prefer actual dosh. Anybody want some paper?
