Sanitary pads without wings

I am trying to find some disposable sanitary pads without wings for my 12yo DD. She is going on a residential dance course so can't use period pants or anything reusable and the wings of sanitary pads can show under leotards. I really like the Flo bamboo pads but they all have wings. Any suggestions? I don't really like Always as they're so plasticky.

Amazon own brand are good and they're cheap, too.

I was dancing at 12 and hated tampons - they made (and still do) me extremely crampy!

Ime pads are more visible than period pants and are more likely to move and leak!

She could put pairs into sealed plastic bags during the day and then rinse in the shower in the evenings.

She could also wash in shower with hand washing powder and leave to dry in room or put back into bags.

@itsgettingweird have you met any 12 year olds?

i really can't see many, if any, being willing to do this.

Because it can make using tampons more difficult, uncomfortable or even impossible?

You said - She's 12 not 8 so perfectly capable of using a tampon. My point is a girl of 12 is far more likely to have challenges using a tampon due to an intact hymen, particularly pain on insertion. I'm not one of those weirdos who think someone can lose their virginity by using tampons.

Anyway, getting back to the original question, period pants are the sensible way forward. Less chance of leakage and much less bulk on show. Depending on how long she's going for, maybe buy a few pairs then put in waterproof bags to wash when home. Bit minging, but needs must.

Yes, correct, I'm glad somebody else gets it!
