Is this dress too much for a wedding evening do?

I'm only going for the evening. It's in a hotel that's known as a good wedding venue locally but nothing OTT posh.

The colour and cut suit me and I'm more likely to wear it again than a "wedding guest" outfit.

Yes, I am a bit concerned about a bra. I have a good strapless one, but I need to try them on together, I think dress might be a bit low at the back.

Otherwise it's a stick on one, which I've never tried before...

Stick on bras are useless IMO. (see other threads about these!) There are many multiway bras available, with lower back options or basque type strapless for more support.

Personally unless it's a ball gown at a paint balling event I think it's hard to be over dressed these days

Beautiful dress. The other option is to wear a regular bra and there is a bra extender strap you hook to each end of your bra and cross around your waist. This lowers the back of your bra.
I googled and saw them at Amazon and John Lewis:

Plus, use tape to stick the dress to your skin so that the dress doesn't move to show the bra.

I agree it’s really nice. I’d wear it with wedges or maybe even flats to keep it low key though.
