Embroidery.

Separating out all those threads brought on an inner rage and despair I never knew I had.

OP posts:

A Tens machine. I was told it would help me relax but it felt like being poked with tiny needles. It was the opposite of relaxing.

Nussbaum · 02/07/2023 10:21

Anything that lives in a shell, sea or land. Just no. Slimy shit.
Rollmops and raw herrings. Just seeing the jars of them in the supermarket's back home makes me feel sick. Seeing someone digging one out of the jar and dropping them head first into their mouths makes me heave.
Disgusting fuckers.

A cockle

Yes ! They look like dead baby birds . Full of grit - vile 🤮

DanielleandBobby · 02/07/2023 14:33

Rollercoaster on holiday in Portugal a few years ago. Terrifying, stomach churning and just awful. Never again.

Also M&S own brand non-alcoholic gin. Bought in desperation during dry January this year. It was so revolting and after one sip the entire (expensive) went straight down the sink. Tasted somewhere in between soap and perfume 😲

SoSoSoSo · 02/07/2023 14:36

Malaria pills. They made both of us so incredibly ill and it lasted for over a week after going home. To add insult to injury we didn't see or hear a single mosquito during the holiday.

I will never go anywhere where Malaria pills are advised again.

jigglytip · 02/07/2023 14:39

prawns

jigglytip · 02/07/2023 14:41

Tidsleytiddy · 02/07/2023 14:54

Pernod and blackcurrant when I was 16. Ended up laying in the road

MarjoriefromHemelHempstead · 02/07/2023 15:01

Golf (game not the car)

Festivals.

DramaAlpaca · 02/07/2023 15:10

A She-wee. OMG, the mess.

yellowsmileyface · 02/07/2023 16:05

Music festivals - overhyped, overpriced, just exhausting... never again
Gammon - so gross
Veet wax strips - legs remained just as hairy but horrifyingly sticky

JohnnyYenSetHimselfOnFireAgain · 02/07/2023 16:18

Broccoli.
Wasabi peas.
Scatophilia.

Penninefinch · 02/07/2023 16:32

Yes to wasabi peas. No redeeming qualities at all.

Penninefinch · 02/07/2023 16:34

Lol completely missed your comment re scatophilia, due to focussing on the wasabi peas. You're a braver (or more foolhardy) person than I am, @JohnnyYenSetHimselfOnFireAgain and I would try most things once.

booktokbear · 02/07/2023 16:46

Cinnamon 🤢

ALongHardWinter · 02/07/2023 16:49

Anything with Quorn in. I've tried it several times as although I'm not a vegan or even a vegetarian,I'm not much of a meat eater. But every time I've tried it,it makes me feel sick.

SuperSonicAyeAye · 02/07/2023 17:19

My old housemate's description of taking natural highs has confirmed my decision to never take any form of drugs! She was sick for hours in a manky nightclub and whe I asked why she just didn't come home she couldn't answer!

For myself, rollercoaster at Legoland. I knew I wouldn't like it but aged 40 went on one for the first time with the DC. Never ever again.

HiAlisonItsCookie · 02/07/2023 17:23

Episcleritis - feels like blisters on your eyeballs, 0/10 would not recommend

Quorn - fine going in, but the aftermath, no. I had to sleep in a different room with all the windows open, a fan on and DH retching every time he walked past.

Totally agree, I borrowed one when I was in labour. I actually threw it across the room totally shite!

Allthegoodnamesarechosen · 01/07/2023 17:41

Andouillette. Oh dear.

Me too- still traumatised 20 years later!

Soonenough · 03/07/2023 22:48

@Tidsleytiddy Regular teenage drink was Pernod and blackcurrant mixed with a bottle of cider in a pint glass and ice. With a straw. Three people could get wild drunk on it .

lardass88 · 04/07/2023 09:42

Marriage 🤣

ElsaMars · 04/07/2023 10:04

Family bike rides. I recalled it fondly, whizzing along, free as a bird. It was fucking exhausting and the slightest incline killed me. I ended up doing a slow, miserable cycle back home while DH carried on with the kids.
