This is just terrible. Poor kids have been cooped up inside for a week.

Edinburgh seems responsible enough today. Said to my dd last night what a start to summer hoildays!!!!

misssees · 01/07/2023 10:55

We're in North Lan and I thought today might be dry at least but the rain is battering down and the rain has picked up.

*wind has picked up.

We weren't really wanting to go away with the cost of everything but....

school holidays so of course it’s wet/muggy/sunny/grey 🤦‍♀️ regretting not booking a holiday down south or away away. Heading up north and it’s looking miserable. Waterproof trousers are packed.

SweetPetrichor · 01/07/2023 10:58

It’s manky! We’re attending a family wedding next weekend and I’ve got my fingers crossed for nicer weather…it’ll be such a shame if it’s still pouring rain.

millymoo1202 · 01/07/2023 10:59

It’s been lovely here, south of Aberdeen

Timeforchangeithink · 01/07/2023 11:00

Eurgh it's flipping awful, so depressing

SirChenjins · 01/07/2023 11:02

Yep - Edinburgh here and it’s grim. I’ve even had the heating on a couple of times to take the chill and damp off the air. I’m off out tonight and the outfit I had picked out isn’t going to be anywhere near warm enough 😡

Mochudubh · 01/07/2023 11:02

Bright and breezy in NE just now but what you've got now is probably heading our way.

It's always been this way, it's gorgeous when the kids are studying for exams, soon as the holidays start the temperature drops 10 degrees and it pishes down.

Leapintothelightning · 01/07/2023 11:03

It's our gala week starting tomorrow so that's why it's raining... sorry everyone!

A week? Were NE Scotland and gave had hot sunny days every day bar 1

Edinvillian · 01/07/2023 11:05

Bucketing rain in Moray, typical for the start of the school holidays. Hoping it's better at the end of the month for Belladrum.

misssees · 01/07/2023 11:06

Tuesday was alright, I got my washing out for a bit. Other than that- it's just rained and rained.

Mrsjayy · 01/07/2023 11:10

I've not had school children for years but I remember it well,

Mrsjayy · 01/07/2023 11:10

Rubbish weather I mean*

Aquarelles · 01/07/2023 11:15

Fandabedodgy · 01/07/2023 11:20

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 01/07/2023 11:21

Girlintheframe · 01/07/2023 11:25

Purplecatshopaholic · 01/07/2023 11:28

Dreich and cold here in West Lothian.

bestofme · 01/07/2023 11:31

We've had a bit of a mix in highland Perthshire but today is lovely (although the humidity is killing this peri menopausal woman)

Soopq · 01/07/2023 11:36

It's been alright this week for me, North highlands but it looks like it's probably going to take a turn in the next hour or so according to the weather app

stargirl1701 · 01/07/2023 11:38

It's July!

Grey, around 17 degrees with rain is the norm.

I've been teaching 25 years and only 3 Julys have been nice.
