What is the benchmark for the worst film you’ve ever seen?

Whenever you get a film that’s been rated poorly, what is the film you say “well it can’t be as bad as xxx”

Ours is Beaster Bunny. Not even my type of film. It’s one of dh’s million dollar movie craps. Except it was so bad he insisted I had to watch some of it, just so I can see how bad it was.

And it was baaaad. Like how on earth did this get released let alone even made bad.

Utter crap

Lost in Translation. Absolutely dreadful. I think it even won awards.

Sausage party, the only time I've left the cinema before the films finished. Not one person laughed for the entire 45 mins I stayed to watch.

This! Holy shit it's fucking dire and even worse is I wasted money going to see it in the cinema!!!

It will take some beating to top it!

Downton Abbey. I was willing it to end. Total bilge.

Titanic 2? But how? Surely the premise was fairly broadly explored in the first one?

For me, Species 2, which I watched - in the cinema, no less - in its entirety.

Admittedly I was a bit pissed, having spent three hours in the pub beforehand, but I was still quite impressed at myself.

Mamma Mia. I still want the time I wasted watching that back (and I was on a long haul flight...)

Natural born killers. I wasn’t shocked or offended, so much as incredibly bored. I lasted 30 minutes and then left and went into the screen next door.

Love wrecked - if it hadn't been a wet day during a camping holiday in Cornwall and nothing else to do would have walked out

Clearly none of you have seen Samurai Cop, though TBF it's in The Room category (which I have also seen) of so bad it's hilarious.

DH and I quite frequently reference Lucy as the worst film we collectively have watched.

Came to say Lost in Translation, but I’m very late - it’s the clear leader.

It was all hype and no knickers to promote Hollywood’s nepo baby Sofia Coppola.

Deathline, inbred cannibals eating passengers on the London underground. It's was so bad that we stll quote it years later

I love Ryan Reynolds but this was.... horrendous

I haven't actually seen this one BUT I think it could be a contender - has anyone seen Kill Keith? Stars Keith Chegwin, Tony Blackburn and Russell Grant. It's about a serial killer targeting minor celebrities. Heard Tony Blackburn mention it a couple of weeks ago on his radio show - he gets his head cut off in it. He said it was so bad he couldn't sit through the whole thing. I have to buy the DVD!

Cloud Atlas, three hours later and I was still none the wiser as to what it was about. Either that or Sausage Party 🤷‍♀️

Utterly atrocious, not funny, not even so-bad-it's-funny funny... dire!

Worst thing was, you'd think we'd have watched it at DH's instigation due to him having a beer-mediated, wannabe frat boy moment, but no! I'd read good reviews about it, including in both the Guardian and the Times - and they seem to have a pact to hate the films the other one likes. But they both loved SP!

So bad that other films I thought were bad became just meh: Titanic; Pokemon the Movie; Forrest Gump; Zombeavers (yes, really).

Mind you, I haven't seen Cloud Atlas, but if you can't decide between that and SP... I don't think I'll ever risk it.

I quite enjoyed Lost in Translation and Sharknado! Which tells you how bad The Host truly is
