What is the benchmark for the worst film you’ve ever seen?

Whenever you get a film that’s been rated poorly, what is the film you say “well it can’t be as bad as xxx”

Ours is Beaster Bunny. Not even my type of film. It’s one of dh’s million dollar movie craps. Except it was so bad he insisted I had to watch some of it, just so I can see how bad it was.

And it was baaaad. Like how on earth did this get released let alone even made bad.

As soon as I saw this thread the words 'Bulletproof asshole!' floated into my mind...😂

😂😂😂 full of great lines. I think it’s DW2 where the poor British lady that he’s found (very temporary) happiness with goes ‘let’s get smashed!’ while clinking her cocktail about. I always say that when I pour a drink, sometimes out loud 😂

doodlejump1980 · 20/06/2023 21:14

Sorry I meant “the love guru” with Mike myers

Goneistheday · 20/06/2023 21:15

Don't Mess with the Zohan - I can watch nearly anything but I turned this off

TheLovleyChebbyMcGee · 20/06/2023 21:15

Awe, I loved the Beaster bunny!! It was absolutely awful, but it was hilarious, the hideous acting and clichés.

Dorrmouse · 20/06/2023 21:15

Tree of Life.

The Fourth Protocol.

paradyning · 20/06/2023 21:15

Austin Powers

FangsForTheMemory · 20/06/2023 21:15

Clerks. Arty twaddle. I walked out.

aSofaNearYou · 20/06/2023 21:16

The Room.

But it's a cult classic for a reason, it's very entertaining in it's shitness.

strawthatbrokethecamelsback · 20/06/2023 21:17

The Northman - recent ish with Nicole Kidman and Alex what’s his name

awful truly awful

barbarahunter · 20/06/2023 21:17

Mama mia. I thought they were joking at first.

To be fair though, there are a lot of bad films about, mostly but not exclusively Hollywood.

Chickydoo · 20/06/2023 21:17

Cats.
I couldn't believe what I was watching! Beyond terrible, all those well respected actors purring and licking their paws. So embarrassing.
Dame Judy, it was not your finest hour!

BettyOBarley · 20/06/2023 21:18

Open Water.
A whole film of two people floating with a totally depressing ending. Paid to see it at the cinema too

Weveforgottenwhoweare · 20/06/2023 21:19

Red sparrow.

Tangled123 · 20/06/2023 21:19

Movie 43. For the cast it had, it shouldn’t have been anywhere near as bad as it was. Absolutely terrible movie.

JamSandle · 20/06/2023 21:19

The new candyman. The original was so good.

WhispersOfWickedness · 20/06/2023 21:20

Cloud Atlas, three hours later and I was still none the wiser as to what it was about. Either that or Sausage Party 🤷‍♀️

Shortkiwi · 20/06/2023 21:20

Cloud Atlas

MandyMotherOfBrian · 20/06/2023 21:20

Well, it used to be Hereditary.
But then I, stupidly, not realising it was also an Ari Aster film, spent three hours of my life watching Beau Is Afraid. Dear, fucking God.

MichelleScarn · 20/06/2023 21:21

Untrusting · 20/06/2023 21:10

Freddie got fingered - still traumatised about 20 years later!

@untrusting would you like some sausages?! Who are you? A fucking English Bobby?!

For me, Tom Cruise Rock of Ages, awful!

bluebirdsongs · 20/06/2023 21:22

Salt

musicinspring1 · 20/06/2023 21:24

Awwww I love Dirty Dancing 2 😂

I cant think of a truly awful film I've seen recently but Cats probably deserves its mention here ...

scaredofpate · 20/06/2023 21:26

The Harry Hill Movie. I don't think I need to say anything else.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 20/06/2023 21:27

Room

Fucking shite

CathyorClaire · 20/06/2023 21:27

Another vote for 'Lost In Translation'. Never was a film more aptly named but TBF I did struggle through it.

I'll happily watch most shite but the film I've most recently hit the kill button on was 'Dogville'. I should have done the same on 'The Science Of Sleep' and 'The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus'. Both utter drivel. Likewise 'Les Miserables'. Singing drivel.

Hungrycaterpillarsmummy · 20/06/2023 21:28

Also
The human caterpillar.
Nonsense
