Been for my consult now Still undecided, cost, pain, being in bed for 2 weeks 😩 Is it pointless at nearly 50 when everything else is starting to sag & crinkle? Anyone else considering? Or completed their TT journey?

@TomAllenWife yes you're right. You'd get a really good result as you've literally got 'the pouch' and not much else

And I'd agree with @TomAllenWife - it is never worth going abroad

Any surgeon that uses a representative is to be avoided. You should be able to book direct with your surgeon and meet with him twice . You need two meetings, at least a fortnight or more apart

Remember - you could follow an amazing looking surgeon based in turkey or Poland or wherever but they heavily police their reviews online.

Oh I absolutely wouldn’t, I have budgeted about 12k. I will have to get a loan for at least half the cost. Hope the interest rates come down.

Oh gosh, I really want one too. My stomach looks similar to @TheOwlChronicles 's before photo, but my legs are not that thin.

I have a really big bum and legs 😩. I worry that I will look funny or that my bum would get even bigger if the fat can't go to my stomach??

@Aintshesweet yes they are removed if they fall within the wedge of skin (shaped like a Cornish pasty!) which is removed

@ThatFraggle yep, you kind of get a mons lift thrown in for free! But another thing to be aware of .. and this freaked me out... because of this public mound lift, you may well find pubic hair growing in your incision line! This is because skin that was lower down has now been well and truly lifted, and of it contains hair follicles - which it will - this can happen

Two weeks in bed…who told you that, you will be out of bed asap, unless of course you get home and get into bed , but then you are a prime candidate for blood clots!

I've been considering this for a while. Pregnancies and weightloss have left me with an overhang that I really hate. In some ways being fat was better as my whole belly poked out, instead of having what feels like a rubber ring round my lower abdomen now 😕. I really struggle with trousers or shorts as it just kind of gets squeezed in and looks awful.

An unpopular view admittedly. But makes me think some of the Arabs have a similar idea. When we see western women are spending thousands of £££ on making their bellies a bit smaller I have to ask the belly-focusers Why? For who exactly? Jeez. Who exactly are they tryna convince re their nubileness and youth? ??? It’s called getting older, as a woman, a difficult one for sure, though you could mess up your life aka your Jane Fonda. Regressive, usually early embalming and competitive outlook on life IMO. I’m expecting a whole load of enraged responses but if they just hesitated for a minute in their over-privileged lives?

@PipsPiper we don’t have to explain nor justify what we want. I can only answer for myself, I am the first woman in my family with education past the age of 14, that gives me money and choices. I’m choosing to get rid of something that makes me unhappy every time I see it. Just like how I had my prolapse repaired. Before my generation, women historically of my background had no choices because of the way society was set up and organised which subsequently meant that they had to simply put up with the unexpected outcomes of pregnancy.

@PipsPiper no heated replies from me.

I work hard to stay fit and toned, it's the one bit of my body that isn't able to change due to being stretched in 3 pregnancies and having 2 surgeries. And that's a bit soul destroying for me.

Omg @PipsPiper you're over analysing there, by a long stretch. Who doesn't want to look good in their clothes? Wanting to be slim does not mean the same as trying to be young, or "nubile" as you have written.

I'm 47, had mine done just over 2 years ago. Best thing I ever did! Had mine done on finance, paying it back over 5 years. It's completely changed my life. Was up and about the day after the op. Hardest bit was not allowed to shower for a week!

Ive had a consultation, I’ve got two rolls of fat so I need a full tummy tuck, I’ve lost two stone but since menopause it’s v hard to lose the fat rolls on the abs.

what is putting me off is that the surgeon said the fat rolls could come back😟😟
