Mr Frosty and Barbie.
I did have the Cadbury chocolate vending machine but it was a bit disappointing. I had the Fisher Price treehouse and played for ages with it.

I must have done very well, as i got Sindy and her house, my little ponies and their stables etc. The fisher price tree house and car garage, which were my favourite toys ever.
Everything I wanted, but Mr Frosty! I got him in my thirties, and again can confirm he was shite!

A Speak and Spell.

I was desperate for a Girl’s World but my mother thought they were weird and hideous. I eventually got one for my birthday and was soooo delighted. And then my parents’ friends’ daughter came over from Germany and scrawled all over her face in permanent marker and she was ruined. I’m still a bit resentful, TBH.

A pair of clackers (which were later banned because they were dangerous

Mr Frosty here too! Have never had one but repeatedly read as an adult they are shit.

I was also desperate for one of those Cadburys chocolate mini vending machines but never got one. I think in my head I had it imagined as some amount of huge endless chocolate instead of something tiny I’d have eaten the lot of on Christmas Day.

I also nagged for action man but got instead action girl (not very forward thinking mum who disapproved of girls having boys toys). Action girl was annoying as she didn’t have the posable limbs so there wasn’t much action about her and her boobs got in the way. I wasn’t allowed meccano or a garage, despite much nagging, for the same reason.

I did have a Girl’s World, though, which I loved. And a toy post office which was great. So it wasn’t all bad.

My Action Girl had posable limbs. I played with Action man more, i was so jealous when my brother got the one with 'gripping' hands

I asked for one every Christmas and never got one. Got all the girly presents though. I mean I had a Mr Frosty and every craze going but never a train set

The trailer for the Barbie film has revived my atavistic yearning for Barbie Stuff. I had a Barbie campervan as a kid (sold it iirc). Might see if I can cure myself by going up into the loft to see if I have any of my old Barbies there (!).
I don't know what it is that does it, but it's a gut reaction - the memory of the enjoyment of dressing up her odd plastic body, of saving up for clothes and accessories, of playing with them.
I am retired and in my late 50s FFS!!
