What obscure tv shows do you remember watching, but no one else really watched or remembers it so you feel alone?

I have a few. I used to love watching certain shows but no one I knew watched it. So it felt like I was the only one at times.

Hex
Dollhouse
Dark Angel
Roswell (the original not the newer one)
Firefly

Anyone remember The Get Along Gang? It was an American animated series from the 80s. I can still remember the words to the intro. The characters were amazing (in my opinion as a 10 year old!). Happy memories 😃

Yes! As a kid we had it on VHS and it reminds me of being off sick from school with chickenpox for a week and watching it over and over as we didn't have kids programs on demand like these days.

And now that Get along gang theme tune is stuck in my head (along with sharky and George!)

The Prisoner?

Another 70s one - Why Don't You (justswitchoffyourtelevisionsetandgoanddosomethinglessboringinstead)

Used to love this.

behaveasbefitsthesituationwillyas · 04/06/2023 23:23

Anyone remember 'How we used to live'? It was always about the second world war? We watched it at school.

Also the Sullivans

Gotta stop spamming, so weird I got a flood of memories from this thread

Batalax · 04/06/2023 23:25

I’m still feeling alone. No one else has remembered Soap yet.

MooMooSharoo · 04/06/2023 23:28

Seaquest DSV I loved in the early-mid 90’s

also The Tomorrow People (in it’s 1990’s revival phase)

no one ever remembers these when I mention them!

RhymingGuitars · 04/06/2023 23:30

Chancer with Clive Owen....teenage me fell in love with him....😂

C.A.T..S Eyes ....undercover police show with Jill Gascogne ( The Gentle Touch), Leslie Ash and someone who I can never remember.

Rolypolyfishheads · 04/06/2023 23:34

Otherworld in the 80's.

JimnJoyce · 04/06/2023 23:39

@Batalax Soap was brilliant Friday night tv. The Tates and The Campbells and Benson

MooMooSharoo · 04/06/2023 23:41

Peacepudding · 04/06/2023 17:31

Out of this world. It was about a girl who could stop time by pressing her fingers together and her dad was an alien who she communicated with through a prism. The theme tune was swing on a star. I loved that programme

Omg I loved this one too!

RalphtheMouth · 04/06/2023 23:45

Thriller
Raffles

both on Saturday evenings

Yay, those were the characters. I felt very grown up being allowed to stay up late to watch that. Was it quite racy? I’m not sure if a lot of it went over my head.

changeyerheadworzel · 04/06/2023 23:56

Horse in the House.

Geneticsbunny · 04/06/2023 22:49

I remember that one. Was there something about a clock and could they only go through at a certain time? Was it maybe called Tom's midnight garden?

13 o clock

Moominprincess · 05/06/2023 00:00

Rockcliffe's babies was an 80s tv show with a great gritty theme tune

DemonicCaveMaggot · 05/06/2023 00:05

I remember Casey Jones, Champion, and Daktari, there was also an animated series called Marine Boy.

My mother and I used to listen to Aubrey Wood reading the E F Benson Lucia books and the BBC lost the recordings which really annoys me. Also half of The Quatermass Experiment is lost.

Does anyone remember The Flashing Blade, which was in French?

Moominprincess · 05/06/2023 00:08

In my teen years I was partial to a bit of Santa Barbara...the Cruz Castillo and Eden Capwell love affair entertained a bored teenager for a couple of series.

alargeoneforme · 05/06/2023 00:19

@Batalax @JimnJoyce Ah yes, as soon as you said some of the character names it all came flooding back. My parents loved it and so did I, even though I was tiny. It was brilliant.

ALongHardWinter · 05/06/2023 00:20

Hector's House, anyone? And The Herbs?

I remember that one as well. There were some really good TV series back in the 70s and 80s.

There was one show that I watched, but can't remember many of the details. I think it must have been in the 70s/early 80s. I think it was a university lecturer/professor of philosophy who took his students to investigate strange phenomena or supernatural stuff and find a logical explanation for it. Does anyone recognise this?

Moominprincess · 04/06/2023 21:09

On Safari with Biggins and child eating Venus fly traps.
Bangkok Hilton tv mini series with Nicole Kidman and the wonderful Denholm Elliott

I would love to see Bangkok Hilton again.

Also Brides of Christ - Australian, novice nuns in a convent?
