What obscure tv shows do you remember watching, but no one else really watched or remembers it so you feel alone?

I have a few. I used to love watching certain shows but no one I knew watched it. So it felt like I was the only one at times.

Hex
Dollhouse
Dark Angel
Roswell (the original not the newer one)
Firefly

Mr Merlin and Manimal as a kid. People thought i imagined them.

Wherethewildthymeblows · 04/06/2023 18:04

Warship in the 1970s. It was a drama set on board a Royal Navy ship and I fancied Andrew Burt who played Lieutenant Peek. I must have been about 12 or 13! Blush

Galloping Galaxies
Fat Tulip
Terrahawks

I want to watch all of these now. There's something so comforting about old tv shows.

halfsiesonapotnoodle · 04/06/2023 18:06

Monkey.

Rummikub · 04/06/2023 18:07

Try CEX. They usually have them

oh I hadn’t thought of that.

70isaLimitNotaTarget · 04/06/2023 18:08

Triangle - Larry Lamb, Kate o'Mara , Johnathon Scott Taylor (Damien in the second Omen film)

Follyfoot - much grittier than Black Beauty

AnElegantChaos · 04/06/2023 18:08

@NefertitiMildred I've always loved this song because it was in the party scene in the first episode 😂

@Dontlistitonfacebook

I LOVED Blake's Seven!

Also Garth Marenghi.

The thing I love which no- one has ever watched is Phoneshop.

We have the whole of Phoneshop on DVD. Perfect for an elegant evening sipping the ‘gnac.

Black Beauty the series . The original Black Beauty (book) was heart wrenching

Sharky and George! It was animated and on around 5am!

The crime busters of the sea?

Mainly kids shows screened in the later 80's - but think they were older -

Ovide's Video
Mr. Rossi
RagDolly Anna

Though I can find YouTube videos of these - I never hear others mention them and never see these referenced in nostalgic interviews and stuff.

Mr Rossi! Now I have an ear worm of the theme tune. It was fabulously trippy.

Rummikub · 04/06/2023 18:09

There certainly is. I’ve been watching old stuff on Drama and it is comfort!

Monkey was fabulous! But loads of my cohort remember it.

Amispringy · 04/06/2023 18:10

I remember and loved Maggie

Does anyone remember Kizzy?

And two shows that no one I've met ever remembers

Grahams gang and 7 little Australians (I was traumatised at dearest Juju being killed by a tree branch)

StuntNun · 04/06/2023 18:10

Manimal. It must be about time for a remake, too.

Z for Zachariah- watched at school and was very weird

A program about stolen peregrine falcon eggs and little kids trying to solve it

A program about a man from space but no idea of the title

Chocky - loved it but was terrified

The Phoenix from the flames, magic carpet and maybe Victorian children

Littlest Hobo - cried every episode

The Enchanted Castle, one episode an audience of clothes called the fugly wuglies that came to life

So many more 😊 always was a tv addict

Ooh I read Z for Zachariah at school, i didn't know there was a tv show!

I have Chocky on DVD somewhere, I feel they should remake it with better special effects (but then I'd probably moan they'd ruined it, so maybe not 😂)

Rummikub · 04/06/2023 18:12

I read Chocky in English and it spoilt it for me! This was in the 80s.

StuntNun · 04/06/2023 18:12

@BreakfastClubs I loved Ultraviolet. Jack Davenport was the star but Idris Elba was fab in it. Steven Moyer of True Blood was the best friend that got turned into a vampire. I think he was only in the first and last episode. Great show.

BreakfastClubs · 04/06/2023 18:13

Does anyone else remember Kissyfur?

I still love the theme tune.

The Adventure Game - gronda gronda

Deathraystare · 04/06/2023 18:14

Terrahawks yes
Children of the Stones yes
I remember Mork and Mindy - hated it!
Loved Blakes 7
Double Deckers
White Horses (if that was the title. t was certainly the song!)
Singing Ringing Tree yes. I heard an interview on Radio 4. Someone went to interview the Princess! She was East Garmen and hated playing a Princess!
The Tribe - yes watched it every week!
There was one series I loved, now I only have the free tv stuff so it wasn't on anything you paid for but it was about alien life forms in the water (in USA) and it turned out the Sherrif's wife was pregnant with an alien but cannot remember the title and I think the series only lasted one series.

TheOtherHotstepper · 04/06/2023 18:15

Kapiten Zeppos. It was Belgian, dubbed into English and it was on BBC1 on Monday evenings after Blue Peter in about 1966. I know I didn't invent it, because there are bits of it on YouTube, but I think I must have been the only person who watched it in the UK.

AnElegantChaos · 04/06/2023 15:57

The Secret Life of Us. Was Australian, late 90s/early 2000s.

I loved that!

Also Love My Way with Claudia Karvan.
