Rubbish title but hopefully you know what I mean.

For me, those who spring to mind are:
Sir David Attenborough
Tom Hanks
Usain Bolt
Judy Dench

Someone told me the other day that Monty Don is a bit of an arsehole. That quite upset me tbh.

Allmyghosts · 30/05/2023 23:02

Bob mortimer was not faithful to his wife. I guess they could have had an arrangement.

Graham Norton…..

Gary Barlow…..

Alexander Armstrong….

The guy who is as vet and he has a show on TV. He has an accent and his practice is based somewhere in England and seems to be specialised in very complex cases? Why can’t I remember the name of the programme?! I’ve always thought the man is so, so lovely. I want to say it’s the “Yorkshire Vet” or something similar….

Alexander Armstrong! Oh god yes, imagine if the voice of Duggee turned out to be a cunt! Would be devastating.

He has always seemed absolutely lovely in every interview about the show. Very keen to be inclusive and welcoming of all children. Seems like a nice man.

Jet Li- would make me sad too.

I worked for Jet Li, albeit briefly, and found him to be lovely!

Isn't one of them a drink driver?

ExhaustedAlready · 30/05/2023 23:04

Warwick Davies.

I love him.

@piefacedClique I met Bear Grylls at a Cubs event a few years ago and he was vile. He was so rude to the cubs who had stood for hours in torrential rain and wind waiting to meet him. He was hours late but gave no apology or explanation. He couldn’t have been less interested in being there. There were a lot of tears and disappointed children that day, and he has been held in contempt in this house ever since!

Yep, my son met him last week and said he only talked about himself and then refused to sign books because he had somewhere to go. Very disappointing for a primary aged child who was so excited to meet him 🤦🏻‍♀️

Ants a bit of a cunt by all accounts.

Also they must've known about all the This Morning 'toxicity'

Has someone on mn not slept with Justin Fletcher? I'm sure I read this years ago

I remember that too. To be fair, the man is allowed a love life!

I have heard he is an arrogant twat in real life though, apparently has behaved like an absolute dick at some of his character appearances.

MyTruthIsOut · 30/05/2023 23:06

If we are talking about the discovery of immense secret sex scandals and abuse, I would be devastated if David Beckham was found to be part of one.

LunaNorth · 30/05/2023 23:07

Romesh Ranganathan.
Stephen Mangan.
Mackenzie Crook.

Depends how bad you mean by 'bad'.

We all have our arsehole moments, me not excluded. Nobody's sweetness and light all the time, that simply isn't possible. Those in the public eye who appear so often gain reputation as phoneys, so might be forgiven for wondering whether there's a point in the first place. Those who do keep themselves to themselves, or who live alone, are retired or don't interact much outside their working contexts, are frequently referred to as reclusives or viewed as rude or anti-social.

Who the hell needs that as part of the day job? I wouldn't have the energy.

And maybe I'm getting cynical in my old age but there isn't much people can do that surprises me these days. Every now and again along comes a real shocker that proves the exception, but neither Harris nor Savile, nor Andrew Windsor, Harvey Weinstein or several of the politicians known in that context surprised me in the least. It was only the extent and gravity of the actions of the more notorious one which were out of the common way.

Girliefriendlikespuppies · 30/05/2023 23:09

I think Monty Don can be a bit of a dick, he's quite snobby and arrogant even on GW!

ApplesinmyPocket · 30/05/2023 23:10

David Tennant. He always seems so lovely and funny. Once saw him do an endearing little piece in which he talked about how as a kid he wanted to be Dr Who when he grew up. What are the odds, eh! :)

The fabric of the very universe would shake for me if DT had ever been a bad'un!

I agree with this..I think celebs get judged harshly when it comes to grumpy moments.

Sex offending or bullying etc is different of course.

But being a bit grumpy sometimes just makes them human

I'm hardly ready to accept his passing, nevermind if he was outted as a bad'un now.

He lived in Crouch End next to my colleague and I hear that David Tennant is indeed really nice man
