Rubbish title but hopefully you know what I mean.

For me, those who spring to mind are:
Sir David Attenborough
Tom Hanks
Usain Bolt
Judy Dench

Bit hard following some of this because people are replying to other people with no clue to anybody but themselves who they're actually talking to, so something could have said something about my two, or maybe not, but:

David Mitchell
Richard Ayoade

Alan Davies! Based on nothing other than me spotting him in a pub in Edinburgh during the Fridge 30 years ago and recognising him ... he gave me a fab heartwarming smile and waved across the bar. He looked genuinely a lovely bloke.

Who? Alan "tramp biter" Davies?

sonicmum2002 · 04/06/2023 07:32

@dropthevipers Yes! After posting, I read some of the other messages about him, and I got quite a shock.

Surprised that someone mentioned Chris Packham - not only does he come across as rather unpleasant, but he is known to have very harmful views about country sports and seems to think it's fine for swathes of the rural population to lose their livelihoods. He doesn't understand the rural economy at all.

I met Chris Packham when I was about 19 and he came into the bar I worked in. I was stupidly excited because I am a huge nature nerd and loved The Really Wild Show as a kid. I served him and tried to engage him in conversation. He looked at me like I was something he had just stepped in, muttered FFS under his breath and walked off. I was crushed! I think I actually cried. I understand he has issues with social interactions, but a smile would have been nice. All the other staff said he was an arsehole too.

Jason Manford. Always seems such an good guy.

midsomermurderess · 04/06/2023 22:39

Jason did a whole lot of sexting with fans, leading to, or contributing to, the end of his marriage.

heidihigh · 04/06/2023 22:51

Another one for Dave Grohl. Also, Chris Martin

He comes across as very unpleasant in most of the interviews I’ve read featuring him.

I had a crushingly disappointing encounter at a children's show with Tony Hart when I was a child and semi worshipped him. He was nasty. He'll never come out as a 'wrong un' as it appeared to me that he hates children. I didn't even randomly approach him, it was an organised event.

I also had an upsetting encounter with Andy Peters, who has a massive ego it turns out and is all "don't you know who I am". Doesn't make him a wrong un though.

Chris from CBeebies would be my shock. He is THE nicest man and I have only ever heard very very nice things about him.

Jason did a whole lot of sexting with fans, leading to, or contributing to, the end of his marriage.

And his job on The One Show. However, people seemed to have ‘forgiven’ him and he has resurrected his career.

Oh my mistake! It was only his wife who in 1986, stated, "With our boxes of matches, and our necklaces, we shall liberate this country", which was widely seen as an explicit endorsement of necklacing.

For anyone not in the know, necklacing involves a tyre being placed around the neck of a victim and then set alight; the tyre stays around the victim’s neck until he or she dies.

Lovely people, the Mandelas. And South Africa has gone from strength to strength and isn’t dangerous at all now.

Yes, it was only his wife. He condemned her for it.

Original op Tom hanks is a creep look it up

PiperHarris · 09/06/2023 17:34

If you "look it up" you see nothing of any substance about Tom Hanks being a creep. It's Tik Tok Tattle with zero substance. Where are the links to anything that actually constitues evidence that this man is a creep?
