I'm just eating breakfast, in my spot in the kitchen. The window's open & washer's on. I can hear some of the neighbours dc's playing outside already & the birds in the trees. Lovely 😊

Today will be a lazy day for me, after my second chemo yesterday. We have some garden furniture being delivered so maybe a steady tidy up out there & then the girls dad will put it together. My dad might visit for a cuppa this afternoon so maybe we'll test it out!

The girls are off to town together afaik. We don't need anything much - they have a small list of bits to pick up, dd2 wants to buy herself a handbag in Primarni, and I've asked for a bit more fruit from the market.

Not sure what's for tea yet, we'll see how I feel later before we make that decision. Whatever I fancy, the girls will more than likely go along with anyway.

Morning! Just walked DDog and his wife (DSis’s dog). They are all off to Gower for a lovely long weekend. I’m off to Llangrannog for a bit of a party 🍾🪩💃

Morning, DD is down for a nap and I need to sort this house out. Washings done just need hung out.

DD Is getting picked up in an hour for a sleepover at Grans. Nail & brow appointment for mr at 12, then a little date night in town with DP.

Will try and nap in between as I’m heavily pregnant too!

Been awake since about 6 🥲 but got up at 7:30 with DH. He's gone to do his first park run since his heart attack in January, so I'm anxiously waiting for him to come home.

Load of washing on and yesterday's folded and put away.

It's carnival in our small seaside town today, so I'm going to watch that with my Mum. There's bands on the seafront later, so we might walk down there later and have a few beers in the sun.

Good morning everyone. I’ve had a quiet, relaxed morning so far today.

Im just waiting for the Tesco shop to be delivered (it’s due any minute), dd8 is already up and out playing with her friend from 2 doors down, dh is up and will be going to work later, dd18 is also awake and she is working this afternoon too. Dd15 is fast asleep and will be for a while I imagine.

We have dd8’s school friend coming for a sleepover today so I’ll take them to the roller rink this afternoon, then back home to play in the pool in the garden.

For tea we’re having ribs, coleslaw and salad, dd and her friend are having quorn nuggets and chips (friend is vegetarian) and we’ll get an ice cream from the ice cream van this evening too as it’s lovely and warm here.

Then it’s sitting on the sofa watching a film before bed.

New garden furniture sounds lovely, as does seeing your Dad. Mine died 13 years ago and I miss him so much.

I think your girls will always be 'frozen dresses' age in my mind. No matter how many posts I read to the contrary!

I'm not sure exactly what I'm going to do, but I 'need' to go out for coffee & to get some food shopping (only a few bits, not a big shop).

I've had no sleep, so even that feels a bit much this morning. Must get going though!!

After waking at 5.30 for a wee I thought I was awake but went back to sleep until 8. We're taking my grandson to food festival. Then we have to start packing up my in-laws stuff for sale.

I've planted a load of potatoes, pricked out and potted on some beans and played with some cats.

It's glorious here today in the South West of France. Will be going to a plant sale later, have flatbreads and salad for lunch and then do more potting on.

Beautiful day here I've washed 2 loads of towels this morning and they are all flapping away on the line, simple pleasures, I topped up the bird feeders aswell, again simple pleasures.

We are all off Into town this morning to the library, DC have ordered some books and they are ready so there's great excitement in the decaff house today! We will also get lunch in town just a pastie or something and hopefully find a quiet spot to eat, theres a nice grassed area outside a church so hopefully there.

Also got a few things to exchange/buy In town.

Home for the afternoon, just resting, want to parcel up some vinted parcels, maybe get another wash on, will let the kids have a film afternoon then garden. I want to get in the garden a a bit, some tomatoes need repotting.

Pizza and chips for dinner, the Asda meal dealw where you get a free cinema ticket aswell so we will use that in the half term.

@ThirstyThursday I've missed starting them - I just didn't have the "oompf" for much more than idle scrolling.

They're definitely not Elsa dress age any more 😢 I do still have the dresses though, carefully packed away with a couple of others I made them.

Having a tidy up of the conservatory, am recovering from a cold so just pottering really. Having a BBQ late afternoon. Bought a Korean horror film on dvd so may watch that after.

Quiet one here after a busy work week. DC are of an age where they don’t want to do ‘stuff’ and just like hanging out with their mates and doing their own thing.

So I will spend the day hanging out in my hammock, reading a book and doing a BBQ later.

I’m off to work shortly, hopefully won’t be there too long! Then I’m going to watch DS1 play cricket and taxiing everyone later, they take advantage of me being on call 😂

I am best woman at my friend's wedding next week so I am in full preparation mode. Currently at the hairdresser's with foils in, then a short walk to the seamstress to collect my dress, then off to the beautician to get my nails and waxing done. Evening will be spent with the family plus my parents who have just got back from holiday 😊

Having a lazy morning then out to pick up food and bits for lunch tomorrow as having friends over for the day. Then back to sort the house out (8 million loads of laundry!)

I knew that you had been unwell but not how unwell! I'm so sorry to hear that. Today I'm picking up beach towels which I've ordered from my local M and S. Then later I'll visit my mum who is in hospital. Dinner will be something out of the fridge/freezer as I'm trying to run it down to defrost it. That's about all I have planned.

@Ostryga there are probably that many loads here too. The girls dad has been keeping on top of it but I told him to leave it for me since it's probably the least taxing chore. That & some never ending washing up

Off to the shops for to buy buffet bits and pieces as having my sister and bil over later with my niece and nephew for a family get together. Then when back from shops off to take puppy for a walk and then the mad tidy preparations commence before family arrive

DH is working.

DS12 & DD10 are still in bed. DD14 is up and suffering with a bad period.

So, plans are minimal. I'm trying to work up the effort to go for a run, and i have some work to do for my degree. Then a friend is coming round this afternoon for drinks and snacks.

I'm currently watching the GDC at swimming lessons, and boiling, it's always hotter than hades in here.

Drop him home, then probably nip to the village chemist for a couple of prescriptions that need collecting .

At some point taking DH to see a colleague.

Then...I don't know, I had plans to tidy a shed but I don't know if I can be bothered.
At least I'll have to wash up and hoover because apparently the teens don't know how 🤔

I’m actually doing something for once, going off to a matinee theatre performance. Might go for a coffee beforehand too. Not sure what DD has planned - I’m sure she’ll see her friends!

I am watching DH get ready to take the DC swimming and feeling smug that it’s not my turn. Planning to get up and do some exercise as soon as I have the house to myself.

DH doesn’t know yet but I’m going to try and talk him into buying a decent big garden parasol later. Every year I say we should (we have a partly-broken, too-small hand-me-down), and we wait for the sales and they’re never in the sales because they’re too popular. This year I am anticipating more time sitting on my arse and I WANT ONE! 😁

This afternoon we are planning to BBQ. The DC will instantly demand full on summer sprinkler/paddling pool/ice cream etc as if it’s 40 degrees. I will be trying to keep them happy and help DC cook at the same time. Cider will help me with that!

Nothing mental health isn’t great so looks like another duvet day

Having a lazy morning, ds12 and ds7 still in bed as both exhausted.
Need to go into town soon and buy a new BBQ, and then start on weeding the garden so we can paint the fences over half term.
Nice and chilled! Got drunk on a school night last week so wanting to stay away from the drink this week. 😂

So lovely to see your usual lovely thread @lucysmam. New garden furniture sounds great. Sitting in the garden with a book is my happy place. Hopefully we will,get lots of nice days for you to do that over the summer to help with your rest and recovery from your treatment.

I am just finishing a cup of tea before getting sorted to head to Waitrose for a few things. DH has just gone out to do some stuff in the garden. DS(21) is still in bed. The dog has gone out to help DH.

I’m planning some washing, putting washing away, folding washing etc. And this afternoon some gardening. We are in midst of a massive garden sort out so it feels never ending at the moment. Hoping to manage half an hour in the garden reading later too though.

Dinner will be butterflied leg of lamb on the BBQ with new potatoes, Greek salad and dips and pitta breads. And wine.
