Is the TS boy related to them both

Possibly. That's all I can say.

Holly must have known. She's going to have to deny knowing, but I'm wondering if schofield will say she knew. It's all so disgusting that this has been allowed to happen, again. When will we learn. Holly is hopefully toast too.

This is the trouble with cool, be kind, nice people, they are actually dangerous and risky at work for colleagues and in a public facing role, to us, for she took family holiday a including her children and his family with him, she supported him promoting Mermaids etc and I understand it was only TO & EH who made complaints for the vulnerable young employee to be helped.

As I said previously a child of a teacher at a theatre school, standard school or a famous millionaire needs to have their parents assessed if they are risky at work they often are at home too, as much as any child is entitled to safeguarding.

Oh fuck off with your homophobia.

RL not TO

It's the subtext of this entire thread. 'Male tv presenter shags 19/20 year old female runner' is, rightly or wrongly, a total non-story.

Dillydollydingdong · 27/05/2023 09:29

So what? It happens every day. All these "holier than thou" types using it as a stick to beat him with. Let he who is without sin cast the first stone. He's gay, he had a relationship with a young man, but not underage. Maybe his wife knew about it anyway...

I’m without sin on this one - never had an affair, or groomed a child or abused my position by having a sexual relationship with a much younger much more junior member of staff.

it’s despicable and gross.

....aaand you've got one poster now conflating being trans with being gay. For some people on the anti-trans bandwagon, this was always the end goal.

It absolutely would be a story if they had met when she was a teenager and he was in a position of power over her.

The issue people have with this isn't that he shagged a younger bloke. It's that he's known the man since he was a prepubescent child, made contact with him when he was an underage teenager, got him a high profile job and then slept with him when he was only just legal. All while married and all while maintaining the public persona of a family man of high moral value.

Then he lied to everyone, including his own legal team, about the whole affair.

It's nothing to do with his sexuality and everything to do with him being a potential groomer and child abuser.

EsmaCannonball · 27/05/2023 09:53

Quite a few journalists now (and not all Dan Wootton-level ones) saying that no big cash cow star gets dropped by their programmes, their channel and their talent agency just because of an affair. The journalists have heard more stuff.

Letsallthinkofaname · 27/05/2023 09:54

Add to this the number of teenage boys he talked to on Snapchat and other social media platforms, the whole thing is grim reading.

thedancingbear · 27/05/2023 09:55

Topee · 27/05/2023 09:52

It would attract some press attention, certainly, but it would be 'sidebar of shame'-type stuff. Not end of career, dumped by agent, aspersions that he was a paedophile etc.

If you can find a single example of a straight personality facing the same consequences in the same circumstances, then I'll change my mind (and I'm happy to have my mind changed on this one).

whiteroseredrose · 27/05/2023 09:56

@Greengreented

Just for a second I thought, what the heck has Meghan got to do with this story… 😂

I've been confused about that too!

RhinoMoveFast · 27/05/2023 09:57

If people on this thread or at his place of work hated the runner for his sexuality they wouldn't hpbe standing up for him, they wouldn't have put in a complaint or risked being sacked and being called names.

PatchworkElmer · 27/05/2023 09:59

Just going back to the ‘kissing practice’ thing and who said that in an interview- Tom Cruise said that his sister’s friends practiced kissing on him when he was 8 years old 🤢

StraightOuttaContext · 27/05/2023 10:00

@CheekNerveGallAudacityandGumption disgusting post. I hope MN bans you.

Have you actually properly thought about the argument you're making here?

Do you genuinely believe Schofield is the innocent party here or just that he should get away with it because straight groomers have in the past?

I agree, though tbh I'd rather MN allowed the obviously homophobic posts to stand, as they lay bare the thread's obvious undercurrent. Others with similar views just know better how to conceal them.

LOOK!!!!! A SQUIRREL!!!!

I will repeat as it seems to be something thanks upsetting some and when that happens I am on to.something usually.

If someone can't safeguard at work then they can't safeguard at home and their children deserve the same safeguarding if the parent is a millionaire or teacher as any other child does.

Risky people being kind to a sacred caste at work is risky behaviour, better someone who puts in a complaint like RL & EH.

Yes I have, thanks.

I think Schofield has behaved poorly. I'm not convinced consensual sex with a 19/20 year old should lead to end of career, ostracism, and insinuations he's a paedophile.

The fact that this is where the thread has gone is evidence of homophobia. There have been a number of nakedly homophobic posts.

So gay = 'risky people'.

More blatant homophobia.

Fgs. The fact that people find what you're saying offensive is not evidence you're correct. That's one of the stupidest things I've ever seen posted here.

So you believe his agent is homophobic?
