It absolutely would be a story if they had met when she was a teenager and he was in a position of power over her.

The issue people have with this isn't that he shagged a younger bloke. It's that he's known the man since he was a prepubescent child, made contact with him when he was an underage teenager, got him a high profile job and then slept with him when he was only just legal. All while married and all while maintaining the public persona of a family man of high moral value.

Then he lied to everyone, including his own legal team, about the whole affair.

It's nothing to do with his sexuality and everything to do with him being a potential groomer and child abuser.

Quite a few journalists now (and not all Dan Wootton-level ones) saying that no big cash cow star gets dropped by their programmes, their channel and their talent agency just because of an affair. The journalists have heard more stuff.

Add to this the number of teenage boys he talked to on Snapchat and other social media platforms, the whole thing is grim reading.

It would attract some press attention, certainly, but it would be 'sidebar of shame'-type stuff. Not end of career, dumped by agent, aspersions that he was a paedophile etc.

If you can find a single example of a straight personality facing the same consequences in the same circumstances, then I'll change my mind (and I'm happy to have my mind changed on this one).

If people on this thread or at his place of work hated the runner for his sexuality they wouldn't hpbe standing up for him, they wouldn't have put in a complaint or risked being sacked and being called names.

Just going back to the ‘kissing practice’ thing and who said that in an interview- Tom Cruise said that his sister’s friends practiced kissing on him when he was 8 years old 🤢

If someone can't safeguard at work then they can't safeguard at home and their children deserve the same safeguarding if the parent is a millionaire or teacher as any other child does.

I think Schofield has behaved poorly. I'm not convinced consensual sex with a 19/20 year old should lead to end of career, ostracism, and insinuations he's a paedophile.
