When you don't feel like cooking?

I came across the thread about discontinued food from M&S and since I've never tried their ready meals, I'm keen to give them a shot for dinner.

They used to do a wonderful lobster with lemon dressing. No way I can afford it now even if they still do,sigh

They used to do massive £2 bags of these which were one of my downfalls. They've recently stopped & I don't feel I would enjoy a wee multipack bag the same

A very good point. Several small bags are not the same as one big fuck-off massive one.

The do a mushroom pasta which is delicious! Easily as good as a (chain) restaurant dish.

@MsFannySqueers They do a delicious "crafted sourdough baguette" that's really delicious IMO.

I don’t usually do ready meals (used to be a chef so can knock up a decent meal pretty quickly) but if I’m on a late train back from working in another office I raid the M&S at the station for king prawn bucatini.

The Chinese takeaway box, I think it's beef & black beef, crispy beef in chilli, Singapore noodles, egg friend rice & spring rolls really yummy me and DD love sharing it for a girls night better than a Chinese! X

Yes, the filled Yorkshire puds!! But the price is off putting! Chicken for DP, beef for me!!!
And absolutely iced and spiced buns are my absolute favourite 🤩

Partner really likes to posh fish pie. The kids love the family sized lasagne.

Veggie moussaka

I love their super seeded bread loaf. And their pizzas are really good. Used to be addicted to their giant chocolate buttons but had to stop buying them as I could easily demolish them all in one sitting.

Quiche, potato and various other salads, Eton Mess (I think they do small, individual ones). Or cooked salmon fillets and salads.

Couldn't make it for the cost and the faff.
Would be disappointed if they scrapped it.

And Gammon shanks with apple sauce.

I'm afraid I don't have a ready meal to recommend but if you want a side the beetroot, apple and yoghurt slaw is unbeatable.

That’s what it’s called here , perfect Saturday movie night food with a bag of their tortilla chips

The beef filled Yorkie for me too @jenn88 but sadly I can't justify the cost very often.
