Are you close with your cousins?

If so, to what extent? Just interested in what is the norm as I reflect on my relationships with my own.

Do you never see them? See them once or twice a year? See them all the time and always up to date with their lives too?

I have 6 . I've never met 2, 3 are dead. I see the others at funerals.
We all live 200 miles away.

I only have 3. My dad was an only child and mum has 2 sisters. Of the 3, me and my sisters are really close to two of them, they are brothers. Both live 200miles away but we see each other regularly. The 3rd none of us see

I have 4 cousins
Two on my Mums side and 2 on my Dad's
2 of them I grew up with, one on my Mums and one on my Dad's
As we got older the cousin on my Dad's side went funny on me due to the manipulation of another family member so I don't talk to her at all
One of the cousins I wasn't close to I spoke to a bit when my Dad died which was nice I did wonder if we would see anything of her as we were chatting about meeting up after lockdown but nothing, not spoke in about 2 years now.
The cousins on my Mums side we actually saw at Christmas and it was like we were kids again. They are both not interested in family tbh and have no interest in seeing them outside organised family events. One of them, I thought of like the sister I never had and have invited her to loads over the years but it was always met by cancelling the plans so I gave up!
