The Perfect Cheeseboard - what's on it?

And also what else would you have with the cheeses?

Would love some ideas for something other than Branston pickle and celery!

Local cheeses including a nice blue and a sheep’s cheese. Manchego, Brie. Good butter and crackers. A couple of different chutneys, my favourite for cheese is a plum currently. Grapes and apple slices.

Adviceneeded234 · 25/05/2023 20:06

Manchego, Brie, cheddar, Ossau-Iraty, black sticks blue

Grapes, figs, Italian flat biscuits, bresaola, pate

WWGDD · 25/05/2023 20:09

Cornish Yarg is the nicest cheese. Definitely a ewe's milk cheese as well. I really like the cheeses that Lyburn make.

Good crackers - my favourite are Millers. Sliced apple, sliced celery, grapes, a couple of chutneys, maybe a chilli jam or a tomato relish.

I like a good smoked cheese like applewood, and Brie. A jalapeño and tomato chutney always goes down well.

allthewoes · 25/05/2023 20:35

A really nice vintage cheddar, maybe Cornish crackler. A Stilton, a ripe Brie, and a fruity cheese, I like the Wensleydale with apricots. Carr's cheese melt crackers, some red onion chutney, a spicy tomato chutney, grapes, pink lady apples and some mixed nuts/dates.

Cheese, butter, crackers, pickled onions at a pinch maybe some sort of fancy pickle. No fruit or vegetables they are just not needed if you feel the board looks a bit bare, just add more cheese.

Giggorata · 25/05/2023 21:03

This thread is really making my mouth water! Really great suggestions and accompaniments.
